'Cuda Tweet About Colbert Causes Media Twitter

What other governor causes a media buzz simply by tweeting that she is taping a "shout out" for our troops?

This morning Gov. Palin tweeted about a video segment she is taping which will appear on the Colbert Report next month when he broadcasts from the Persian Gulf. Her wording was slightly vague. Twitter limits you to 140 words, and instead of writing "It [meaning the video] will be on ‘Colbert Report’ next month," she wrote, "Will be on ‘Colbert Report’ next month."

Why does anyone with a shred of credibility appear on “The Colbert Report”?

I have a sense of humor. I really do.

However, I find Colbert to be about as unfunny as Jon Stewart or Conan O’Brien.

Palin’s not going to be on the Colbert Report, just her taped “shout out” to the troops will be aired during his show since it will be originating from Iraq.

My mind is faster than my mind. I thought the punch line was going to be
"[I] Will be on Colbert next month"

I’m assuming Colbert will make it a point to trash her after the segment airs, right?

Same here. These shows are like ‘That 70’s Show’ - a comedy where the gags/jokes are marginally funny so they crank the volume on the audience laughter all the way up to make it seem funnier than it is.

I’ve also noticed Family Guy going way overboard with the liberal stuff lately. I saw an episode a few days ago that showed a Nazi officer wearing a McCain/Palin button, among other things.

I really enjoy Colbert's schick. Unlike Stewart (who is just his usual bitter blowhard liberal self on the air), Colbert has actual talent and does a dead-pan Bill O'Reilly type monologue very well. Plus he actually does a great job playing devil's advocate and takes apart some swarmy liberal guests when he's in pretend-conservative mode. Colbert and Steve Carrel were the only worthwhile things about The Daily Show (and were hired before Stewart took over and ruined it). They actually understand it's SUPPOSED to be a FAKE show PARODYING nightly news anchors. Whenever Stewart is there on his own, it's unwatchable.

People obviously can’t read and are very quick to jump to conclusions.
