Those words are pretty clear, "I don't want to run the auto companies". That's what President Obama said on April 30th. Since then, all he has done is run the auto companies.
Right now, the government is deeply involved on facilitating both the bankruptcy of Chrysler and General Motors. As I reported, the government has funded GMAC and in so doing shut down Chrysler's financing arm and mandated to GMAC that they finance all future Chrysler vehicle purchases. (those that need financing of course) Let's put that into perspective. The government is so deeply involved in running the automakers that they are deciding which financing subsidiary should be closed down and what vehicles another financing subsidiary should finance. Furthermore, they provide billions in government money to facilitate this.

Government Motors could be the sinkhole that bogs down the Baraqqi assault on America.
Liberals usually buy foreign nameplates.
Conservatives will shy away from Government Motors.
It will take a lot of money for a long time to keep Government Motors afloat.
Is there any Republican around who can make a coherent argument to the public about this?

I do want to run the auto companies
There, problem solved!!!!
How long before Japanese built vehicles are taxed out of affordability to promote the government run auto industry that is going broke do to lack of sales?
“I, Barack, take you, Michelle, to be my lawfully wedded wife...”
"I don't really want to punish you."
"But I will if I have to."
"And it looks like I have to."
Our president just didn't feel he had to had the last two phrases.
There is alot of “words’ and deeds that are going to haunt Barry real soon.
No they won’t haunt him. In case you haven’t noticed, Obama’s main political strategy is to speak moderately pushig a radical agenda. So he says he doesn’t want to nationalize banks, car companies, etc. while doing just that. He says he beleives marriage is between a man and a woman, while scuttling anything that would protect that. He says he wants a stronger defense, while cutting the F22 and missile defense. It’s a tactic right out Saul Alinsky’s handbook.

There’s a big problem with that—GATT. Such an action would be a clear violation. And however much he may want to appease the unions, he isn’t about to pull out of the GATT treaty.
Those are fightin words!
About all this idiot CAN run is his BIG MOUTH — and not even that without TOTUS.
What in hell makes him think he could run even a hot dog stand??
yeah, well, this is on tape. So, come November 2010, if Republicans aren’t making an issue of it shame on them.
Import taxes were imposed some years ago on Japanese autos, yet Americans still bought them because they represented not only fuel savings, but quality. Then the Japanese companies set up manufacturing plants in the US, and made the same quality cars here, but without being hampered by the UAW.
At some point, GM and Chrysler are going to be just heavily subsidized builders of crappy hybrid and electric cars, that will end up selling them only to people who cannot afford anything else, and who have a bus line as a backup solution to the times when the car is in the shop.
Anybody who wants a quality vehicle that they can depend on to outlast it's financing is still going to buy a foreign nameplated car. We see all kinds of ways where people will still pay more for dependability, style, and service.
Me: “What was that for?”
My Dad: “I know you’re up to something.”
...taken over Chrysler, which then went into bankruptcy
...taken over GM, which is going into bankruptcy
...is responsible for the nations economy...tumbling into depression/bankruptcy
...responsible for Social Security, heading for bankruptcy
...wants to run AIG, headed for bankruptcy
...wants to nationalize healthcare...guess where it will go?
He is nothing if not consistent...batting 1.000 so far.
0be likes telling people what to do and then shirking his personal responsibility later.
The thing to remember about Obama — he, Emmanual and his political operators will smash your teeth behind the scenes, but then Obama will say in public “why can’t we have a civil dialogue?”
True, he will most likely stick to demeaning the Constitution.
After all his attitude is against us not foreign nations.
