you've never met an indian Christian? Really. They're hardly rare and are quite active on the Indian political scene -- you have the politicians like Sonia Gandhi, George Fernandes, AK Antony (India's defense minister), Margaret Alva etc. They're also there in india's films and business
Finally, you have a large indian christian population in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia -- like Keith Vaz in the UK, Bobby Jindal in the US, etc.
Plus, where exactly HAVE you been to in india? Goa and Kerala are 30% Christian, Nagaland, Manipur in the north-east are nearly 100% Christian (the rest of the north-east is probably a combined 30 % Christian), while Bombay and Bangalore have large Christian communities and plenty of Churches.
