There are few sights more disgusting than the American political left displaying its dark side - - as it did immediately following the murder of abortionist George Tiller on Sunday. When I read some of the trash articles making accusations that conservatives in general and Bill O’Reilly in particular were responsible for Tiller’s murder, the words which came to mind were “vile malevolence.”
Accusations like this are examples of what psychologists call projection: the attribution of one’s own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people; especially : the externalization of blame, guilt, or responsibility as a defense against anxiety. In other words, they attribute to conservatives and O’Reilly their own inner feelings and attitudes. This reveals that the loons really do fear those folks and consider their very words to be “terrorism;” and the truth, far from setting them free, causes the loons deep anxiety.

Perhaps; but the same karma applies to Tiller, does it not, and is not the product of any other person, or of conservatives in general.
It is evil. It is based on lies. I don’t disparage leftists.
If we started a list, it could take all day. How about all the “war criminal” wanted posters of George Bush et al? The frequent cries that Cheney should be tortured? The “kill Michelle Malkin” chants? Etcetera ad infinitum.
Even if you did “disparage” leftists . . . and many do . . . there is a difference between disparagement and demonization, which is a better description of what is being done here.
Why isn’t the left at all concerned over the killing of some 60,000 innocent unborns?

What is being “done” is evil, for lack of a better word.
I cannot fathom this mystery. Why not, indeed. Perhaps it is as simple as the line from Animal Farm: all are equal, but some are more equal than others.
