Have you noticed that Democrats are cutting deals everywhere to cut medical costs? Just the other day, Senator Max Baucus (D Montana) said he had reached an agreement with drug companies to cut costs for prescriptions by $80 billion over the next ten years.

Giving a boost to health legislation after a bruising week, the pharmaceutical industry struck a deal Saturday with Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and the White House to commit $80 billion over 10 years to help pay for comprehensive reform.

This just means that the pharm companies will only continue to sell what they have catalogued (able to produce without research) now. So, if you’re expecting a cure for MS, Alzheimer’s Disease, Cancer, whatever, effin’ forget it. I’m sure we can always be consoled with extra production of Extenz (hey, it’s supposed to be great for the ladies, too!)

Lets see who gets what $ from the pharm companies .

This includes Dem’s / Repubs before we start cutting deals.

This rope a dope communications tactic of appearing to have done something positive for the people is getting old real fast.

And the idea that Government Control will introduce cost savings is a big joke. Government has NEVER been able to do anything more efficiently. The only way to reduce costs is reduced services.

For example, the American Medical Association, which represents doctors, is proposing to curb what it deems “overuse” in areas including Caesarean sections, back-pain management, antibiotic prescriptions for sinusitis and diagnostic imaging tests.
Yep, cutting out 4 dollar prescriptions for my sinus infections is the key to success. The government has already bullied doctors into the point they are afraid to write prescriptions for pain medications for anything. And cutting down on diagnostic imaging will save money because without the scans, the patients illness will have progressed to untreatable stages before the doctors have any clue as to what the problem is.
Notice the one area of health care costs that's not even being mentioned by the DemonRATs or the media. What percentage of the costs associated with medical care is paying for the bottom feeding lawyers?

Their proposals offer the first detailed glimpse into how hospitals, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, health insurers, medical-device makers and a big labor union aim to make good on the cost-cutting promise they made to President Barack Obama last month.

Any moron that believes any big labor union is going to do anything other than shakedown the American taxpayer shouldn't be walking the streets. This whole propaganda program is an unmitigated disaster in the making. We should be surrounding the Capital with torches and have boiling oil spa treatments ready for every politician that even thinks of supporting this sham.

All the dems ever talk about is cutting the cost of health care. The reason they do this is their assumption of the zero sum economic game. If you notice, they will never talk about increasing Americans’ wealth, so they have the money to afford this or that. All they offer for the US is higher taxes, less disposable income, less individual freedom, and less wealth creation in the private sector.

I wish the repubs would bother to point this out, instead of accepting dem/socialist economic premises.

All of the leftists will also just continue to blame all of the world’s problems on past and present Republicans and past and present conservatives, and many people will continue to believe it to be true.

“Breast cancer is fatal to 25 percent of its American victims. In Great Britain and New Zealand, both socialized-medicine havens, breast cancer kills 46 percent of women it strikes.

Prostate cancer proves fatal to 19 percent of its American sufferers. In single-payer Canada, the National Center for Policy Analysis reports, this ailment kills 25 percent of such men and eradicates 57 percent of their British counterparts.

After major surgery, a 2003 British study found, 2.5 percent of American patients died in hospital versus nearly 10 percent of similar Britons. Seriously ill US hospital patients die at one-seventh the pace of those in the U.K.
“In usual circumstances, people over age 75 should not be accepted” for treatment of end-state renal failure, according to New Zealand’s official guidelines.

Unfortunately, for older Kiwis, government controls kidney dialysis.

Government healthcare KILLS. Tell everyone you know about these stats in other countries, especially the elderly, because Obamacare will hurt them the most.
