What is it about politicians these days?
Is there some sort of magic elixir in the air that allows these people—regardless of political affiliation--the license to insult the intelligence of their citizens? Or is this some sort of natural “human flaw” that we—the idiots of the proletariat—are supposed to accept as some sort of acceptable characteristic of the people that are supposed to “represent us?”
Give me a freaking break.

The problem that I see is that Sanford's behavior was totally irrational. He seems to be consciously throwing away his whole career and family for the sake of his concubine.
I don't understand why Sanford came back. He should have stayed in Argentina and gotten a divorce. It would have made more sense.

That's not what I heard. I heard way too much romantic narrative and not nearly enough shame. Twoo Wuvv... then he started crying, and I suddenly realized that he's crying over the woman, that's she's going to be branded a whore.
That's when I got mad. Where's her picture? Where's the immoral woman who brought this destruction to us?
I want to know what she looks like. And I want the whole world to know what she looks like.
Well, I suppose if you are the one who determines how much shame is enough then your will will have to be followed.
In a court or hearing environment, that type of response wouldn't do your credibility a whole lot of good.
I'll leave it to the court...or readers here, to determine what your level of credibility is.
I always enjoy it when interviewing a subject, the point is reached where the subject just flat out declines to answer a basic, legitimate question. It makes it all worth while!
