The Bush yahoo group morphed into the Reagans Conservatives group and today we are getting more new members. It started last week and is continuing.

Most of us have been together since when it was B2K for the 2000 election and shocking to be getting new members. We made the change about six months ago.

We morph every four years into a new name and it was unanimous to go with Reagans Conservatives.

Please, what?

Yes, Bush rarely acted like a conservative but McCain was no different. The only thing he did right was to nominate Sarah Palin, and then proceeded to surround her with Beltway professionals who either misunderstood or disdained the source of her fundamental appeal (and leaked their displeasure to the media every chance they could get).

I supported him and I voted for him because the alternative was the very disaster we now see unfolding before us. Most conservatives did the same, and the reason McCain lost had nothing to do with the Right "staying home" - post-election surveys prove they did not. Instead, McCain failed to win middle class middle-of-the-road independent voters because his message was a muddled mess offering them no compelling alternative to Lord Hopeychangey.

And yet they voted the Democrats absolute power. This word “conservative”, I do not think it means what you think it means.

They understand Republican does not equal conservative.

Our numbers will be growing by the hour as more and more Americans acknowledge that the current occupant in the White House and his henchmen with the cooperation of the Congress are destroying the US economy, ignoring the US Constitution, destroying our security, stealing our freedom, plotting to confiscate our guns, label us extremists, suck up to our enemies, and steal our children and grandchildren’s futures. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Well, apparently the moderates have observed first-hand what liberalism can do, and they’ve veered to the right. Welcome home.

The way things are going now, 2010 may be a replay of 1982 with the parties’ roles reversed. We will make significant gains. But the Democrats will use George W. Bush as a boogeyman effectively enough that we won’t regain what we lost in the past two elections.

1982 isn’t very reassuring. The Dems gained 27 seats in the House but lost 1 in the Senate.

Here goes Gallup again, asking what people call themselves. As with the pro-abortion/pro-choice question, many of the people answering do not know what the word means and just pick the word that has the most cachet.

Kelly Ann Conway has commented about this: people calling themselves conservatives and then the leftest of the Left end up winning the elections.

Yet the results are edifying in one way: they show that we are the future. Remember the old nursery saying "What you would seem to be, be really"? That may be where these people are. Wishing they could be one of those savvy, obviously superior conservatives but not quite being there yet in their deeds and words.

Where were these people in November? A lot of them were sitting at home, dispirited by the prospect of voting for McCain—the Republican candidate who delighted to praise liberals and scorn conservatives.

Ever since I read a poll in USA today that stated that 25% of atheists pray and believe that God answers their prayers

That's just . . . bizarre.

It is up to us to turn the tables and shine the light on Hussein’s destruction of the country. I don’t see any problem with that scenario since we’re headed for the toilet bowl and it will be total disaster by 2010.

The tsunami is building up steam; everyone is angry already.
