Why the GOP elite despises Sarah Palin
WorldNetDaily ^ | 07-16-09 | Jane Chastain

I think it's pretty clear that Sarah Palin doesn't really want to be president. However, she understands how desperately this country needs reform and, if no one else is available who can get the job done, she likely will take off her apron, put down her hunting rifle, dust herself off and run for the office.

One thing is sure. She will have to climb over the GOP establishment before she gets to the White House.

The most annoying part is: WHY ARE THEY EVEN THE PARTY? Why are they even Republicans, when they evidently have so much more in common with liberals than they do with conservatives (I’m talking Brooks, Frum, etc.)

They left off one other very important reason:

Money given to Sarah won’t be going to their guys.

Why is she so misunderstood, if not outright hated by the party establishment?

She is not a political animal.
She doesn’t play by the old rules.
She has not been to the right parties.
She doesn’t bow down to party “insiders.”
She is a true outsider and unpredictable.
She can’t be counted on to cover for party members who are spending too much or doing too little.
It is not her turn.
Let’s be clear about one thing. Resigning as governor of Alaska was not a smart political move. She didn’t do it for political reasons. She did it because it was in the best interest of her state. When is the last time a politician did something – on purpose– that was not in his or her best interest?

GOP elites against Palin...yeah, she should obviously stay under the GOP label and help rebuild the party....right.

I call for a civil war within the GOP and after the GOP, one against the current government system. Term limits should be demanded on and of our elected House and Senate members, etc., etc., etc.

We have to work to systematically eject RINOs from the party, even if it means letting a Democrat take the office. Just having a guy with an (R) behind his name is meaningless if he votes like a (D).

There’s a very interesting parallel up here with our own Conservative Party, many of whom are essentially Liberal.

Why?
Because she is a young, smart, principled, energetic, pro-life, conservative, attractive woman.

I'm sure they look at it that way. But that shows how out-of-touch they are. Sarah's the only one I'd consider giving money to. If it weren't for her the well would be dry. And I don't believe I'm alone in that decision, by a long shot.

If they were to wise up and look at it from that angle, I suspect Sarah would be far more welcome than she is.

Elections are won
by candidates who unite
not those who splinter.

Those so called “elites” (yeah right , maybe in their own eyes) are cowards who are too pathetic to fight against the demoncraps! They are also composed of subversives who are knowingly and willingly trying to implode the party.

Or, as some believe, it was the most brilliant political stroke by a politician in recent history. The Alaska landascape is littered with the bodies of politicians who underestimated this lady.

It’s Sarah (the party outsider) and her supporters against the inside the Beltway Republican machine. It will be a EPIC battle if they want. The Republican Party may not survive it though.

Yeah, I am seeing how united the GOP is right now....
How can the GOP “unite” when most in it want to simply maintain the status quo while others want to return to what the GOP really is about? How can a party seek to reform when most of its members are steadily leaning center left?

I will agree that “splinter” is bad but sometimes, it is a necessary evil. If the majority of the GOP is unwilling to change (i.e.: the current RINO’s) then it would seem prudent that a “splinter” occur even if it means no chance in 2012. I certainly am not going to vote for a GOP candidate that more in common with those we are trying to replace than with the original intent of what is meant by being a conservative under the GOP brand.

She won't be alone. We'll be with her, storming through the breach like Henry V's soldiers.
