Dawn of the Age of Justice(double speak In Iran?)
Iran News Now ^ | 14 July 2009 | None Stated

The past month in Iran has been harrowing for anyone who believes that human beings deserve freedom from tyranny.

We have witnessed an election stolen by an old guard of conservative elements headed by the regime’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei (I call this group KhamCo for short), followed by a popular uprising unparalleled since the 1979 revolution.

This old guard trampled roughshod over the will and aspirations of the people of Iran with impunity, thinking that they could use the fact that there was an 85% turnout of the electorate in the June 12th presidential to legitimize the regime without actually respecting the outcome of the vote. And when the people refused to accept this, KhamCo unleashed a medieval horde of goons to violently crush any opposition. Many have been killed, and many more have been imprisoned and tortured.

The tide has turned. These words could not be more adequate.

Long article that I though worth spending time to read.

Also included was a link to reveal the real ambitions of Ahmadinejad. Video in Farsi with English subtitles.

I have been thinking about the difference between freedom and justice in the case of Iran (odd, that Obama called for justice, not freedom).

Freedom is not an Islamic concept and is, in fact, an anti-Islamic concept considering that Islam itself means "submission."

Justice on the other hand (however, much it is open to interpretation) is an Islamic concept...if it is sought and applied via Shariah.

Just more evidence that Obama is, at the very least, pro-Islam...and anti-freedom.

Your observations are very accurate and I agree totally.

We have a little different attitude here in TX from what Obozo does.

“Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may. “

Ahmadinejad does not hide is agenda, so there really nothing to reveal. It is also not just him who has the same agenda there.

The tide has been turned to install another Islamist. The article makes Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani out to be the good guy. Well here is what he recently said.

Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani - one of Iran’s most important Shiite clerics, a former president, and a canny political operator - told tens of thousands gathered at Tehran University for Friday prayers that the government risked its legitimacy by ignoring popular anger over its declaration that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had won reelection.

“We believe in the Islamic Republic,” Rafsanjani said. “They have to stand together. If ‘Islamic’ doesn’t exist, we will go astray. And if ‘Republic’ is not there, [our goals] won’t be achieved. Where people are not present or their vote is not considered, that government is not Islamic.”

The West is getting excited over nothing. It will remain Islamic and so will the threat to Israel.

Well, I am from GA and I think I speak for most of us when I say we would be happy to follow the Texas lead in this matter!

Submission, my arse!;-)

My ancestors came from GA to Alabama prior to the first Civil War. We were literally burned out of Alabama (Wedowee) during Reconstruction. Family has farmed here in Texas ever since.

Some of my ancestors were here earlier, during the Republic.

I truly appreciate that we are not alone in how we treat this subject. (I knew that we were not, but thanks for reassuring)

I know that Rafsanjani is practicing damage control.

I do not believe the Iranian people want an Islamic Republic.

They have been lied to so often and treated so badly they are pursuing freedom. This has outgrown an internal conflict between Mullah’s.

Rafsanjani may not be able to put this back in the bottle. Whey do you think they arrested 26 Military officers? They (the Mullahs) are afraid, and should be.

“I do not believe the Iranian people want an Islamic Republic”.

There are millions of devout Muslims there. They will not let anyone else take over.

Maybe Obama will be president here and there. Lol!

I am not sure what the Muslim percentage is, or how many of them are nominally Muslim.

The country I am told is about 50% Persian in ancestry. That civilization dates back a long way. They were in their prime during Cyrus in about 580 BC, and later. Old cultures die slowly. These are not Arabs. I am sure there are a lot of them that would welcome the opportunity to be free of this mess, now doing that is another matter.

Many of them speak English, I guess because of our closeness under the Shah.

The Xpats I have met largely prefer to be called Persian. And they hate what has happened to their country. Most would go home in a minute if things changed.

These are smart people. Not dummies, but they are in this mess.

It is like being a part of the mafia.

Here in the U.S. we do not have a clue, yet.

I promise I will not be a “good little Dhemmi”.

“Here in the U.S. we do not have a clue, yet”.

You got that right. It may get as bad here as in the UK before we wake up.

I think that for many people this “administration” is the wake-up call, but they do not have a clue where the evil is coming from.

You and I will probably live to see the time when the “left” and Islam unite against Christians and Jews openly.

You might ask what the 2 (”the left” and Islam) have in common?

They both hate the Jews. And the Christians in the west side with the Jew, so we are along for the ride.

I will defend the Jews in Israel until I die. No reservations. No apologies.

I am 40 so I agree with you. I am with you 100%.

The left and Islam together are doing a GREAT job in the UK.
