In the span of two days, the administration has blown through two deadlines without producing a report. Yesterday, we marked ninety days since the President asked for his cabinet members to each produce a report that would lead to a reduction in administration spending of only $100 million. That report was due in 90 days. Yesterday, absolutely no report was produced. Meanwhile, a panel was supposed to produce an interim report on progress toward closing GITMO today. That report will also not be filed.

The funny thing here is that we could have met the $100 million saved by just ordering the White House staff and President to just spend the whole month of August in DC and don’t travel anywhere, period. If we ordered all the senators and representatives not to do any travel from August until December...we would have likely met the $100 million savings.

The $100 million was/is a pathetic joke. That’s like me promising to protect the environment by not spitting on the sidewalk....once a year.
It’s insulting. Imagine the media derision had this come from a Republican.
I'm betting on him blaming his "incompetent staff" who must have been hired by his "incompetent administrators". Any day now he'll be firing some of his "incompetent czars".
