These are a great side dish served with barbeque, but could practically be a meal unto themselves.

Ingredients:

1 lb. hamburger meat

1 medium onion, chopped fine

1 large can Country Style Bush's baked beans

2 cans pork 'n beans

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup barbeque sauce

Like a meal all by themselves, but also great with burgers, or anything off the grill.

Looks great!

Bush’s baked beans are the base of many great bean recipes.

The only thing missing is the sliced bacon covering the top.

Along with everything else I also give a short squirt of yellow mustard prior to stirring it all up.

I dont know why, but beans are just better when you make them in a good old clay bean pot.

I got one from some mexican fellow for 2 bucks 20 some years ago. Its made in the USA by westbend.

This is it!

Putting a lil horse radish in at the end never hurt either!

I could see that working. all them caramelized onions and brown sugar... that bourbon would add a nice undernote.

I dont like beans to damn sweet though.

I can make a good pot of beans but is hard to beat plain ol Ranch style jalapeno pintos from the can...

Dump some fresh diced onion on the top of that

A little 'Colon Cleaner' would be a great mustard for kicking this recipe up a notch...
