My own views have been evolving lately, just as my views on the “war on drugs” evolved. I now favor amnesty, for practical considerations. What I’m in favor of are people coming here to work. What I’m against is people coming here to live off the American welfare system (regardless of whether they also have a job, if they can work they shouldn’t be on welfare).
RINO!
I would like to hear Mrs. Palin’s view now that she is not under lock and key by the McCain camp. I will reserve my opinion until she makes her view known away from that RINO. Right now she’s one of the few we have and I hope this is not her final stance on the matter.
Maybe she figures that since we are letting them vote and screw up the country with their socialism, we might has well put them on the path to the welfare office too.
If Palin did this they would thank her in 2016 by voting Rat.
Ruh roh....looks like another thread to stay off of
A path to legality means amnesty until you sort them all out. A de facto amnesty when considering how long it would take. Ugg... they’re everywhere...
Why would you post an article from October 2008, to what, undermine what she has said about DeathCare, did it hurt you so much to see her punk Obama that you had to post this.
Secondly, this was from when she was with the McCain campaign, and she has said since on her twitter page that she is against illegal immigration. So I am going to wait to see what she says NOW as far as her opinion compared to what she said as McCain’s running mate
Univision: To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.
Univision: What is your strategy? How are you planning to win the latino vote?
Sarah Palin: I will tell you, I wish that there were more hours in the day so that we can get out there and to more of the communities with such the strong Latino vote that is out there and really tell them that we desire to work for them. We are asking them to hire us and let us work for them.
For a path to citizenship and against amnesty. Okay, so what's the problem?
This is the end of my support for Sarah. I was sending her a modest check every month from my pension. No more. I will not vote for her for any office.
A PATH to citizenship is not amnesty .. it’s a path, a way to get there.
and you’re gonna believe this?
[Any pro-amnesty republican is totally unacceptable.]
She didn’t say full amnesty. I’m as anti illegal as anyone, I live in Vegas which is absolutely overrun, but what do you do with a guy who has lived here twenty five years?
and you’re gonna believe this?
I never supported McCain, didnt support him in the election, he is a total shill. I just hope the Neo Cons dont co opt the anti Obama movement to get Romney or Gingrich or heaven forbid Jindal elected.
There is a system in place for a “pathway to citizenship”. It’s called applying for American citizenship in your home country, then coming over when it’s granted.
What’s your point? She doesn’t say anything at all about getting out and giving illegals blanket amnesty whatsoever in that text.
If Sarah Palin is for amnesty for illegal aliens then I will NOT support her for public office.
We need to move on from her she is another Huck McRomney..
My take on this...
This is two weeks before the election.
She had to have the same answer has McCain.
I would suggest the question should be asked again in 2009?
