Grassley Tells Town Hall "End of Life" Should Begin with Jesus Christ - Not Politicians - Video

Here is video of Sen. Charles Grassley yesterday at a Town Hall Meeting in Iowa where he said that if a person wants to think about "end of life", number one, Jesus Christ is the place to start." The crowd erupted into applause. He went on to say that if you are talking only about the physical life, as opposed to Eternal Life, "it ought to be done within the family, and considered a religious and ethical issue, and not something that politicians deal with." Once again, the crowd just erupted with applause and approval!

Grassley was sparring with a questioner about the Democrats' Health Care Bill that talks about "end of life counseling" being provided to people, raising the specter of a panel deciding "Grandma has lived too long," a type of passive euthanasia in which people who are very sick or very old could be encouraged to just give up and die. . . . . . Statement: Grassley Tells Town Hall "End of Life" Should Begin with Jesus Christ - Not Politicians..."

Response: The gentleman overlooked the vanity of our politicians. Their vanity is like unto that of "The Light Bearer"

At least SOMEONE has a inkling of what is right in Congress.

Grassley is going back to those voters who butter his toast.

If
Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build them up with worn out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”;

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And - which is more - you’ll be a Man my son!

Why were end of life “services” in the bill in the first place, Chuck. You thugs took it out because you got CAUGHT...PERIOD!! Only slimey, arrogant, self-righteous, conceited clowns like our elected officials would have placed anything like that in a bill!! So don’t congratulate yourselves for doing away with something which should have NEVER been considered at all!!

Years ago, the EPA wanted to impose a regulation on rural gravel roads and Grassley was able to block it. “Only God controls dust,” Grassley said.

Nice try RINO. You would be a lot more believable if you actually stood up for the Constitution ****while you are in Washington**** and not just when you are back in Iowa.

Not impressed with Grassley so much. He comes out now and says that because the winds have turned direction. The real patriots like Sen. DeMint were sounding the alarm prior and taking heat for it. Majority of seators of both parties are truly gutless wonders.

Jesus said that 'whosoever confesseth Me before men, I will confess before My Father in Heaven', and while I don't often agree with anything Grassley has to say, I do agree with him in this instance and I'm sure that Jesus Christ approves too.
