The latest Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll is a significant blow to President Obamas flailing presidency, just 7 months since taking office. According to Rasmussen, a highly influential pollster, Obamas approval rating now stands at just 47 per cent, with 52 per cent disapproval, and 37 per cent strongly disapproving.
At the same time in his first presidency in August 2001, George W. Bushs approval ratings stood at around 55-59 per cent in most major polls, with roughly 35-38 per cent disapproval. It was not until Spring 2004 that Bushs ratings were as low as Obamas figures in todays Rasmussen poll more than three years into his first term of office.
The White House will point to other surveys that show stronger approval for Obama, but all leading polls demonstrate that support for the president is eroding. The Obama presidency is sinking faster than almost any other in recent US history, largely because he is trying to force a radical left-wing agenda on a nation that is still far more conservative than liberal, that overwhelmingly believes in limited federal government, free enterprise and decentralization of power.
The massive $787 billion stimulus package combined with sweeping bailouts has proved deeply unpopular, undermining business confidence and contributing to the shedding of millions of jobs and an unprecedented increase in the national debt. A new Fox News/ Opinion Dynamics poll reveals that a stunning 72 per cent of Americans believe the government should return unspent stimulus funds (hundreds of billions) to the taxpayer rather than have it disbursed. 75 per cent of Americans believe Obama will raise taxes and 60 per cent think the country is heading in the wrong direction.
The Obama health care reform proposal has been a disaster, and according to Rasmussen, just 42 per cent of Americans

Paging CNN and CBS. The White House needs another one of your “poll” specials!
Who could have figured an America hating racist commie wouldn’t be a good President?
PRay for America
President Bush may have been a liberal - but at least he loved his Country -- which is more than I can say for the current 1600 Pennsylvania occupant...
I'm certainly shocked. I thought he was going to be a dandy. Just goes to show you that radical, racist, American hating Communists aren't what they used to be--sigh :(
Hooray Mr Nile Gardiner for you concise aim.

The MSM had to skew the poll respondents to lower Bush’s numbers in an election year.
Right now, America has a huge case of buyer’s remorse.
to be fair, Bush’s numbers were skewed by 9/11. If there had been no 9/11 he would have been around the same numbers much earlier than 2004. Still, not a good sign for Obama. It’s not even so much his low approval numbers but more his high disapproval numbers. Thta there’s such strong opposition this early is worse than less support.
How sweet it is. Just goes to show you, people will reap what they sow. The libs spent 8 years trying to tear down President Bush and in just 7 mere months, their Marxist-in-Chief is going down in flames.
“Venegeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.”
This poll compares Bush’s approval in August, prior to 9/11. After 9/11, he was at about 90% approval for a while.
Bush had to put up with the “stole the election” BS, the Michael Moore BS, the CBS BS, and the media in general BS tearing him down before he set foot in office.
Contrast that to the media lovefest for Obama...
When Obama won, I predicted that within 2 years, America would miss having Bush as President, even the media.

The media is happy as a clam with the Bolsheviks and give Obama and his minions their full throated support each day. It's the rest of us who are miserable.
That won't change in a hundred years, let alone two. The media is made up of true believing communists.
I’ll be happy when his approval rting is 0!
If they treated him the same way they treated Bush, we would have impeached him already.
I agree. Even the lefties I work with are upset now. :)
