This fiction peddled by the president that you can keep your current insurance under ObamaCare bothers me every single time I hear it. A fourth grader can see that if your employer is the one deciding what your plan is, then your employer will decide whether you keep it or whether they dump you into the government plan. The employee has nothing to do with it. And when ObamaCare makes it cheaper for the employer to dump you, you will be dumped. End of story.
Finally, somebody in the MSM nails Obama on this point.

What happened at WaPo? They have gone from kissing Obama’s ass to asking tough questions of and about him.
Zero doesn’t lie...he “mis-speaks”
Big Business loves Obama care. They can then dump a lot of liabilities to the government.
Don’t forget Plan B. Make rules that will bankrupt the evil insurance Companies so they have to get bailout money and the CZAR that comes with it. Make no mistake this is a Communist takeover.
Oh he doesn’t even misspeak; the media “misplays” what he says. Or, us peons are too stupid to understand what he really means.

1. Maybe they have finally figured out their job is to sell newspapers, not be a propaganda arm of the government.
2. NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard). In this case the “back yard” is their healthcare. I would bet their employees have pretty good healthcare plans now, and don’t want to give it up either. So they are willing to write the truth to protect themselves.
The Obamacare package includes lots of “reforms” that will impact your current plan. You may not recognize it or be able to afford it once they implement all the mandated “reforms” and “improvements”.
Go ahead, you can keep it, if you still want it..
And the rest of us ‘misinterpret’.
And don’t forget “cherry-pick”
Man, I hope you’re right. I really was beginning to believe that these dumb butts were willing to give up their own good life for the sake of their messiah, which was truly alarming to behold. I guess common sense has to set in at some point unless you are completely brainwashed and mesmerized by that slick con artist we call our president.
Even they now may be beginning to realize what a corrupt govt. we have full of stinking rotten dead fish politicians who are nothing but a bunch of self serving egg sucking dogs who don’t give a damn about us.
Maybe those at the WaPo have figured out “Oh right, my family will be at the mercy of this stupid Bill too.”
At last - somebody in the lapdog media said it. Resident (Pres_ent) Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., or Barry Soetoro, or Mr Michelle Robinson, or Sock-Puppet, tells the adoring public (and the rest of us), that this person ‘mis-speaks’, i.e., prevaricates, fabricates, dissembles, fib-mongers, or outright LIES.
Only a few knew that 0bama’s public optiion Plan is really....

If you like your current health plan, you can keep it. I don’t know for how long, but you can keep it.
The legislation could also prompt some employers to drop coverage, congressional budget analysts say.In a report last month on a bill advanced by House Democrats, the Congressional Budget Office said millions of people would gain employment-based coverage and millions would lose it. The CBO estimated that the number of people gaining the coverage would exceed the number of people losing it.
As for the losers, "CBO and the JCT [Joint Committee on Taxation] staff estimate that, in 2016, about 3 million people (including spouses and dependents of workers) who would be covered by an employment-based plan under current law would not have an offer of coverage under the proposal," the CBO said.
The devil's in the details. So spouses and dependents could be dropped, no doubt in favor of homeless folks, illegal aliens and the very poor. Not a good tradeoff in my opinion. Thank you Washington Post.
Thanks for posting, Bill. The statists are busy roughing-in the framework of another house of collectivism. They have many houses.
He is technically correct. You can keep it. You just can’t keep it long.
I’m a little bit kinder about it. He can say it all he wants, but it’s not necessarily his decision to make.
Speaking of spouses, does anyone know what the deal will be with households where BOTH spouses work.
If the wife works full time and the family is covered under HER health care plan, will the husband’s employer be REQUIRED to provide health insurance for him (or pay the penalty) even though he is already fully insured?
