A few weeks ago, our friends in congress had a major fit about a secret Bush-era program that was revealed to them my CIA Director Leon Panetta:
Congress originally authorized the CIA to develop the secret counter-terrorism program that is now drawing fierce criticism from House Democrats who say they were kept in the dark all along, a former senior intelligence official told FOX News on Monday.
The program, which sources told FOX News was a plan to capture or kill Al Qaeda operatives, also never came close to being operational, the intelligence official said.
"This was not a program. It never began," the former official said. "The authority was given by Congress to develop this idea. ... There was no need to brief it. It wasn't a reality."
According to reports, the secret CIA program halted last month by Director Leon Panetta involved establishing elite paramilitary teams that could be inserted into Pakistan or other locations to capture or kill top leaders of the Al Qaeda terrorist network.
After his congressional testimony, Panetta spoke with his three predecessors and learned that this secret “program” wasn’t much more than a PowerPoint presentation and a task force assigned to think it through.

Panetta tried to bail out Pelosi who is dying in the polls.

This actually disappoints me. I would hope that we had a read program to hunt down the worst of the worst.

We probably do and hopefully Pelosi does not have the details.
The CIA is a total spook show. What do these demoncrats think that they are doing, taunting the spooks? Do they not think that strange things may start happening in their lives? It is not smart at all to mess with the spooks.
If true this is a devastating indictment of CIA, that after 8 years of warfare their secret plan to kill the enemy is still not operational.
And now, under the Democrats, is canceled and exposed. Which is for anyone paying attention yet another devastating indictment of Democrat leadership.
If this is true then CIA needs to be cleaned out with a fire hose. And Democrats in government need to be cleared out as well; they clearly can not be trusted with any responsibility where national security is concerned.
Why did Panetta disclose this operation? In order to help extract Pelosi from a lie that she told at CIA expense. They should both be removed from office.
Because that would be bad. Terrorism good. Counter-terrorism bad.
