I dunno yet. I think Romney would have done better against Obama than McCain did? Is he a faker? Maybe, but almost all politicians are fakers to some degree. They are salesman selling a product: themselves. Whatever Romney’s flaws, he was better than Obama.
I have an open mind for 2012. I think that Obama wil be hard to beat unless the economy continues to worsen. There are just too many people in the tank for Obama.
Solidwood has a Palin Ping list
The Real Romney?

I would rather she stay out of that den of vipers and thieves where should would have votes that could be criticized and held against her.
Reagan and the nation had a lot of years for him to season and develop.
Even so, Carter did such harm in his short time, the nation was in crisis and could not afford to keep waiting for Reagan if he had not been so seasoned.
In these times I don’t see having the luxury of waiting around for years for such a Presidency.
If she does not run next time around, who would you suggest run?
Who would be your candidate in 2012?
Do you believe that person would win, or lose?
If they won, what would they be able to accomplish in office for the conservative cause?
I’m in!
The question that haunts the Republican Party. Would any other GOP Presidential candidate have chosen Sarah Palin as his running mate?
Hell no!
I rest my case.
She already has 17 years of public service experience. Doesn't need the Senate.
Flame away. But good corporations often want their executives to work in various areas before taking over as CEO.
The federal government is not a corporation.
Experience in various areas of government would be good for Palin before taking the top job.
4 years as city council-woman
6 years as Mayor
2 years as energy commissioner
2.5 years as Governor
Chosen as vice-president
That enough experience for you?
True, Reagan was never a Senator. But he served as governor of the largest state What do you think Alaska is? The size of Rhode Island?
and was active in party politics at the national level for 20 years before becoming president.
Palin is active now, in party politics and national discussion. 2012 is 3 years away. So that's 3 more years under her belt.
Romney basically served 3 years as Governor. He has had no public service experience (in gov't) prior to that.
Well said.
One omission, you forgot her years of business experience. :~)
What particular experience would you like her to gain in the Senate, in order to serve as President, given the context of our national predicament?

The campaign for the nomination will begin in early 2011 after the 2010 election is over. It won’t be debates and the like but the participants will be out stumping, raising money, putting together teams, etc. In today’s environment it seems the campaigns run for ever.
Actually RI is larger in population than AK..
It's just the usual beltway talking points that say Palin is "inexperienced", that's all.
My extended family and I are contributing financially and supporting her generally in a variety of different ways. We started our full on support shortly after her resignation - she became a national candidate to us at that time.
Sarah has more executive and real world experience than most.
Lincoln was in State Leg. and briefly a congressman.
He knew diddlysquat about the military but directed
his West Point Generals, many who didn’t have a clue what they were doing to victory.
Wish them no harm, BUT Who are they? Of no consqequence to normal (majority) opinion, I'm certain.
