After Sen. Edward Kennedy made the request in a poignant letter last week sent to Gov. Deval Patrick and the state's Senate president, Therese Murray, and House Speaker Robert DeLeo, only three senators have publicly signaled support.

Go ahead, appoint a communist! Who the hell cares!
I’ve said this before..Blaming Democraps of hypocracy is like blaming a dog for chasing cars..it’s what they do...Blame the dog catchers (Repubs) for letting them get away with it without a wimper.
This move by the Democrats is disgusting. Whenever the law does not suit their political needs, they change it to satisfy their greed.
Hey Ted, do you figure that you’ll burn in hell anyway?
Why not make one last move on behalf of tyranny?
Hey....those almost rhyme....a song is born.
It will happen.
They are all Demoncrats - end of discussion.
The ones who “haven’t made up their minds yet” are standing by with their collective hands out for some stimulus.
“Ive said this before..Blaming Democraps of hypocracy is like blaming a dog for chasing cars..its what they do...Blame the dog catchers (Repubs) for letting them get away with it without a wimper.”
well i can tell you in MA the Rs are mad as all heck and are screaming about it. problem is they have absolutely no clout in either the house or senate with their anemic numbers so all they can really do is bellyache
blame the idiotic electorate who voted the Dem Bums in they are the true culprits
But --PFFFTTT! -- who needs laws? We'll such let Ted and Deval hash it out and install a suitable potentate to rule over the peasants.
this is messed up...the rule was put in place to prevent Romney from making an appointment.
Actually, the governer of MA used to do it.
Then, they changed the law to prevent Mitt Romney from appointing a replacement for xxx.
Now, they want to change it back because they have a DemocRAT governor.
Has anybody actually SEEN Teddy “The Swimmer” Kennedy lately?
Or his doing a Weekend at Bernie’s?
>>MA the Rs are mad as all heck and are screaming about it.
Are they pulling their hair out, stomping their feet and threatening to go home and not come out to play again?
The electorate ain’t idiots, but IMO, the GOP of MA.
Face it, when the Royal Family of Hyannis wants something, they’re gonna get it. Laws, shmaws, this is Monarchial Privilege...”will no one rid me of this troublesome pest...”
They are definitely waiting for the right moment to bring out old dead Ted for the memorial. 0bama’s team is spinning its wheels not wanting to waste this crisis!
Anyway, our state rep showed up at the meeting. He stood up and made a bold and impressive speech about how we desperately needed to raise our taxes and we should all pull together and vote YES.
That's the kind of Republican that gets elected in MA. This state is quite hopeless.
I would submit to you that the "dog catchers" are not the Republicans, they are the voters who keep voting these bastards and bitches in, time after time after time!
The RAT voter is like the spouse of an alcoholic or abuser, co-dependent and mentally lost.
It’s too late now. So long as he can neither drive nor legislate, he’s harmless.
Today, the town of Saugus, following measures in Boston, raised their meals and hotel tax as per the local option recently passed, adding their surcharge to the 6.25% recently enacted.
Which will be followed by many I’m sure, eventually rising in most places to around 10% or so for meals and hotels.
How will towns resist if the town next door gets revenue this way?
Bah!
FILE - In this Aug. 11, 2009 file photo, Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass. arrives at the home of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Sargent Shriver in Hyannis Port, Mass.
“Royal Family of Hyannis “
and who do you think keeps the royal family of hyannis in office? the idiot electorate
Baker (GOP Gov candidate) came out against Teddy’s proposal and a GOP rep on beacon hill called it completely unconstitutional. that about all they can do in MA. If they went home no one would notice for crying out loud it is so one party dominated
