Draft of my letter to the editor re: Obama/Pelosicare

Posted on 08/28/2009 6:11:43 PM PDT by Sun

Dear Editor:

The "health care reform" bill targets the unborn, very sick and senior citizens.

Father Pavone of Priests for Life called it FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act) in disguise. He also said: "The “health care reform” bills being finalized in Congress will set off a chain reaction that will result in a massive expansion of abortion! That’s because, unless Congress explicitly states that abortion is excluded, it will be regarded as “an essential benefit” for Americans."

Senior citizens and the very sick of all ages will be harmed, or die, because of rationing. That's how they intend to save money.

We need to scrap the current "health care reform" bill and do something else, such as allowing Medicaid as a temporary measure for folks who have lost their jobs, and giving Americans the right to purchase health insurance from any state in the union which would make insurance companies more competitive, thereby reducing costs. We really can't trust the government to control our healthcare.

Let's keep calling, writing and/or visit their representatives to tell them we don't want this "health care reform" bill, and more importantly, we should pray every day for an end to abortion, euthanasia and neglect (through rationing).

Hope you'll join me in writing a letter to the editor to your hometown newspaper, and/or religious newspapers, to get others to call their reps.

Let me know what I can add, delete or change in my letter, and feel free to use any part of it for your letter.

Let's get going so we can stop this. We don't know how much time we have.

Awhile back I wrote letters to editors including this:

“Why did Congress exempt themselves from being included in the healthcare they want for the rest of Americans?

Maybe it’s because Congress members don’t want themselves and their families to be at the mercy of bureaucrats about whether they can receive quality of life treatments, or even treatments for their very life or death; rationing; long lines; or when they become senior citizens, be forced to have counseling every five years, or more often if they are sick, regarding alternatives for end of life care.

Rep. John Fleming, (the 2007 Louisiana family physician of the year), put forth a bill, HR615 to urge congress members, who vote for the healthcare reform bill, to lead by example and enroll themselves in this public plan. Visit his website, www.fleming.house.gov, and see if your congressperson signed on as co-sponsor of Rep. Fleming’s bill. If they did not, ask them why.”

Good job. I’m sure your letter will raise the eyebrows of a few people, even if they don’t do anything about it. Educating is important.

“Educating is important.”

This is true. The Dems keep calling TRUTH “myths” which is why we have to let folks know the facts.
