I don’t think he could write a bill if his life depended on it. That’s why he has turned it all over to Reid and Pelosi.

Are you kidding? This is a brilliant strategy. Of course the president can’t go for a “redo.” This is the polite way for an elder statesman to suggest that what’s out there now is crap.

It depends. Will the new bill cover Viagra?

Apparently, when GOP Senators or former Senators get old, they become quite senile!

Bob, you need to join Mcwhatshisname on the shuffleboard court and keep quiet. When you lose a presidential bid, you are expected to go away...

I think Bob Dole is playing the right angle here.

Public perception against the current bill is high.

Obama with his flipping and flopping on the public option and his horrible way of explaining this health care plan have pretty much done him in on the entire issue. (i.e. blue pill vs. red pill, cheaper to give Grandma the pain medication vs. life-saving treatment, tonsillectomies and amputations, ad nauseam)

The American people simply do not trust Obama with their healthcare. It’s as simple as that. Obama doesn’t get a mulligan on this, Dole knows it. Bob Dole is driving more nails into Obama’s healthcare coffin.

Of course, we should still remain focused and still be out there playing whack-a-mole with the Socialists, but for all intents and purposes, Obama blew it with the American people.

May not have liked Dole as a presidential candidate, but he is fighting the way this needs to be fought.

Bob Dole also talked about bipartisanship, which in the Dole era consisted in caving in to Democrat demands and yielding on conservative principles.

Precisely the point. Obama isnt capable, but the big question is, who did write those 1000 pages so quickly? Were they even written by a congressman?, or were they written by ACORN? or were they written by the big pharmaceutical companies who are pledging millions of dollars to get this whale passed?

Who is running this country, and why? It certainly isnt the voters at this time.
