I disagree. She is the perfect example of what feminism should NOT be!
The very word is a disgrace to women (imho). A feminine woman is one who complements a man. A woman is a special thing in God's economy. There is a difference.
In the Bible (yeah, I'm a "thumper", too), God raised up women to fill a man's shoes, when God deemed it necessary to advance His plans. There are several examples. Sometimes, there's just not a good man to be found. But, that was then, and this is now.
Now, we are in a new time, with new battles. But, the enemy hasn't changed...
I believe Sarah Palin IS being used by God. Is she perfect. Of course not. Is she making some mistakes. Time will tell!
But, for now, she's in the line of fire more than anyone. She's hitting the right buttons, and pissing off the right folk! She's speaking truth, straight from the hip! That hip carries her kid, too!

The author implies here that “waiting lists & decisions on drug options” do not involve price. He is wrong. They are directly related to the costs of providing the services. If health care workers worked for a pittance, if hospitals cost little to build & maintain, if drugs could be developed & manufactured for pennies, then NHS could provide unlimited health care to all with no waiting lines & unlimited drugs & procedures.
Obviously, it is the PRICE of these things that drives the decisions to tolerate waiting lines & deny treatment & drugs. Money (cost) is THE primary motivation for the NHS, just as it is with private insurance & patients.
In the USA, the patient decides if the price is too high. In Britain, the NHS decides if the price is too high.
Personally, I prefer making that choice myself vs. having the gubmint do it for me.
