he said, noting that it's believed that years ago the suitcase nukes, acquired from former USSR operatives, were smuggled into America across the Mexican border. With all the troubles at the border today, anything could be brought over.

The above is nearly word for word the Wikipedia entry for Daniel J. Hill. With, of course a request for donations posted above it.

Suitcase nukes would have to have processed fissionable material with a short half-life. These things would have to get the newly-processed material installed and then used within a few months of that.
I don’t think Iran could provide that type of material (yet), and getting it from the Russians is about as reliable as responding to a Nigerian e-mail.
This could happen, but I think a lot more detail about how and who would be needed to give credibility to these prognostications.

Can you imagine the kind of crap that would come down the pike if a 9/11 happened under Obama’s watch? He’d make the (un)Patriot Act, MCA, DHS, ect look like the Founders came up with them. Gulag Amerika, here we come.

These nikes would have probably degraded years ago, if they are here. If they are here, they would have been used years ago - like during the Iraq war.
If Islam has these nukes, Israel would be the first target.
All this is not to say there won’t be an attack. When it comes, it will be a surprise as BHO has gutted our intelligence gathering system. When it comes, given his trashing of the CIA, it will be BHO’s downfall.

"I don't know the second, hour or day. I just know they have the means, will, motivation and desire to do it," he said, noting that it's believed that years ago the suitcase nukes, acquired from former USSR operatives, were smuggled into America across the Mexican border. My understanding is the suitcase/backpack nukes require periodic calibration using sophisticated equipment terrorists are unlikely to have or know how to use.

You spend millions of dollars to acquire suitcase nuclear weapons. You spend more money smuggling them into the United States. Then you sit on the nukes in storage in the United States, with more storage and security expenses annually. And every day you store the nukes in the United States is a day when you risk some mean people from the U.S. government will show up, shoot you and/or take you prisoner, seize your little toys, and you waste the entire investment you made.
Sorry, I'm not buying it. If Al-Qaeda or whoever had nukes in the United States they would make them go BOOM as quickly as possible. Like as soon as they could place them where they wanted them. A month or so would be an appropriate time frame.
