Racism in America. A perspective.

I wanted to write this today because of all the rhetoric I see on tv and hear about the Racism in America these days... Racism has always been around and probably always will. I want to share my experiences with racism. And I want to say I am not going to pull any punches. My first experience with racism was when I was in kindegarten in Spokane Washington, it was a african american gentlemen and his wife who happened to be white. Also he was a minister. I came to school to see the man and his wife in panic with the police there and doing an ivestigation. I saw on the wall spray paint and graffiti saying the N word and nazi symbols. And I felt horrible even at a young age you can sense the hurt and fear in people... I am glad I moved away from Spokane because I thought we would be moving to a more open community. Jump forward to about 1985 as a young man I always loved black music from the 60s,70s and then the new music in the 80s called rap music. As a new era was starting I got deeply into rap and me and my brother got turntables and mixers and started buying records.. We wanted to go to a Run DMC concert in Oakland and our parents agreed. We never had any clue what would happen to us. We had fun we were 13,14 and our friend Kurt was 16. After the show we were leaving heading to the Bart Station, when three african american men. I say men because being 13 any one old were men to us. Came up behind us and said" Eenie meenie minee mo, which white boy should go." Then they said Curly should go refering to my friend who had long curly hair. They then proceeded to hit him in the jaw and me in the face. And like cowards when a group of other people came they took off.. So this was my first taste of racism against whites. And being that my father worked for the city of Oakland I was shocked this happened there. But I was still young and niave, this would change over the next few years as I started to pay attention to things happening around me and my friends and brother in particular because he was A Dj. He was getting really good so he started to go to parties and they would have challenges. He was so good he started winning competitions and people started noticing. Not all were happy though. More then once he had african american people challenge him to more then dj contest. They would say things such as "white boys aint supposed to be that good" and threaten him. So this was my next exposure to the racism of african americans against me or my loved ones... In 1992 something happened that would change my attitude towards race relations in America. The riots in LA and the attitudes of Black americans that anything done wrong to them is racism. Yes it was a horrible thing to see Rodney King beaten like he was but looking past it and what was the root cause meant nothing to the African Americans... It was us against you... Or they like to say "JUST US". So again it wasn't white america killing and rioting it was the african americans. 1995 Another bad year for race relations. OJ Simpson murders his wife and her friend and again we see the race card pulled out.. At this point in my life I am starting to see a pattern. Well then when I got my job as a Phlebotomist and was going to peoples homes and doing medical history and blood and urine test that is when I really started to notice. Working in the south part of sacramento i would be going to alot of black americans homes... And when I did i almost always got the same response of "oh typical, or a hiss or smart remark. But I but I was there to do a job and I did it. Many time I had people tell me up front they didn't trust me. We had a additive in the urine cup that people poured into the toilet a few times because they didn't trust me. This was very strange to me. Because I always thought people had more respect for one another..But as in the other instances I was wrong... For the next ten years I did not pay attention to race because I was preoccupied with raising my two daughters... Now comes 2008 and the great election of the chosen one Obama, who won the office of Pre=sent by using his race and American Liberal racial guilt to be elected. Now I see a larger pattern anything any one says about Obama is charged as a racist remark. A man who was supposed to bring our country together has collectively killed race relations in our country. Now more and more we are seeing white americans being assaulted by african americans. But the news and police and prosecuters will never touch the Hate crime charge against a person of color. Only white people are capable of racism and hate crimes. Well that is what we have been told for 40 something years... In America in 2009 we are beginning to see more and more out and out racism against whites and in particular conservatives.. It is a scary time.. I truly believe that Pre-sent Hussiens ultimate goal is to have a blow up in the country so as to call for martial law and crack downs on freedoms that we are slowly loosing... America is at a turning point, on Saterday Sept 12, 1 to 2 million people went to Washington to make a statement that we are tired of loosing our rights and having our money that we work hard for taken away for god knows what kind of programs, taxes to go for abortions in africa and abortions here at home. People are hitting a breaking point. But as we saw on the tv there was no rally in Washington it was just a gathering of the KKK or Nazi rally. So says the democrats who when they cannot win the argument they pull the ever popular race card. But millions of americans are standing up and saying "No your Race card won't work with us anymore". Racism isn't happening on the right the left has exclusive rights to it at this point in history. I myself hope and pray that nothing happens in this country that will make that "shot heard round the world" happen again. But continueing violence and name calling against whites is only going to make people even madder.. And I don't think people realize the repercusions. It will make the first civil war look like a cake walk. America is still the most free country in the land but with the people running the government media complex our rights are going out the door. Lets pray we can elect responsible honorable people in 2010 to stop the racism and marxism that has taken hold of Washington.

Yes, there is racism in America. Always has been, always will be.

Many groups have been discriminated against. In fact, about every group that came here, at one time or another, was discriminated against.

Problem is, no matter how hard we all try (that’s whites as well as blacks) they, the left, will not let racism die. They do all they can to divide us as a nation.

Until people, white, black and latino, wise up to their schemes we will never be free of the paranoia that the human being we are looking at or speaking to isn’t thinking about race.

Wake up America!

My first taste of racism, was when I was maybe 5,6 years old.We lived,at the time in a trailer park[yeah I know that makes me trailer park trash] Whenever there was needed block laying, sewer repair or minor electrical repair, there were two lack brothers who went by the nick names “Thunder” and “Lightning”.I remember then standing several feet from our door after knocking, hat in hands, smiles on their faces. In that child like manner I could see but not understand.
This was in the the early 60’s and these two human beings were in fear for their lives. These two men who happen to be black, honest hard working ,decent men, were scard any move thought disrespectful on their part would land them in a seriously bad place. This incednt left a deep impact on my soul.Looking back,I can now see a pattern in the way I looked at race.
I remember my parents using the word “nigger’in such a casual way that it appeard normal. My young mind even then realized that racism is wrong no matter from what quarter it comes from.I have lived my life with the notion that we are all GODS children, thus I treat people of all creeds, color,or nationality with the respect due them as children of GOD
