In Iran's main Friday sermon today, Hujjat Al-Eslam Kazem Sadeqi said that Saeed Jalili, the Iranian representative at the Geneva talks, had presented Iran's package of proposals and that it had been discussed at the meeting.
He said that the arrogance (i.e. the U.S.) had now found a new subject (that is, the Qom enrichment facility) to lock horns with Iran over. While this matter was nothing new, he added, the Americans want to use it to raise a furor.
He called the new Qom enrichment facility a facility of Iran's nuclear pride.
Sadeqi said that Iran had always declared that its nuclear energy would be for peaceful purposes and that "soon" it would set a date with the International Atomic Energy Agency for a visit to the plant.
Irans enemies know that Iran will never back down from its legal rights, he stressed.
He said that under the leadership of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Islamic regime was safe, and the regime could deal with the enemy's attempts to ignite civil war such as the one Iran witnessed following its presidential election.
He concluded by calling the velayat al-faqih (rule of the jurisprudent) one of the foundations of the regime, and added that Iran was fortunate to have a religious leader (Khamenei) who is honored to serve the nation.

“Member Of Iranian Negotiating Team In Geneva: No Agreement On Date Of IAEA Visit To New Facility”
SNIPPET: “A member of the Iranian negotiating team in Geneva, who refused to be identified, told the Iranian news agency Mehr that no agreement was reached regarding the date of an International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors’ visit to Iran’s new uranium enrichment facility in Qom.
[This is in contrast to statements by EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana.]”

Could this “new” facility be a red herring?
