But, more broadly, Bell fears that the United States does not "have the right strategy" on Darfur, and he warns that the "status quo plays in favor of the government" of Sudan's President Omar Bashir.
The group wants Obama to take action and renew pressure on the regime by coming up with a peace initiative, which would include countries with sway in the region such as Egypt and China, and could eventually lead to a tentative peace deal.
Since his nomination, Gration has made some risky moves, indicating some openness towards Bashir -- who is the subject of an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for war crimes -- and expressing support for the easing of 12-year-old sanctions against Sudan.

This is a prediction.
Given that,
Obama is defending a growing deficit, and
Obama is now also defending growing questions about whether he has the guts to defend the U.S.
My prediction is he will try to answer both questions and shore up his support with his base by initiating a conflict with one or more countries in Africa - Somalia and/or the Sudan. Both are popular with young people as in — “Save Darfur.” The wetnosed kids have no idea what they are protesting but they want to get attention. Obama is the same - wet behind the ears and he wants attention. The U.S. will never, n e v e r, be able to extricate itself from Africa once this idiot gets us involved. BUT, it will address his two big needs. It will get the Defense industry rev’d up fueled by the US Govt with money flying. The ramp up in Defense will create new jobs, goosing employment and the One’s reputation on gutsiness will improve.
A twofer for Obama, a zero for the country.

Obama start a conflict against a Muslim country? Very, very unlikely. Granted, he's still in Iraq/Afghanistan, but he inherited those situations.

Let’s talk after the November governor elections. I’d guess he’ll go into Africa before the end of the year and the U.S. will never, NEVER, be able to exit. If you think Obama has a lick of sense, you’re delusional. IQ does not equate to sense; they are separate and distinct. Obama has one but lacks the other.

I would laugh but things are getting very sad. I hope Americans take action in 2010 to place at least stops on these clowns.
