My grandparents came from Sweden, so we had lutfisk (that's the Swedish spelling) for Christmas Eve dinner every year. I liked it!
More Swedes settled in Chicago (like my grandparents) and northern Illinois, btw, than in Minnesota.

Come to think of it, I think that’s how Obama pronounces it...
That’s what I was going to post-it became irrelevant when Arafat got it. That was a big “FU” to Israel and to the America of the time which supported Israel. It seems the recipients since then have one thing in common-they hate America or at the very least Blame America First. That’s all this “peace prize” is now, an award to whomever opposes or blames America. The only Americans who ever win it are leftys who go around the world telling everyone why America is wrong and evil and to blame for everything.
I wish we could take back the Berlin airlift, all the aid we’ve given to nations after natural disasters, all the aid to Africa, all the money from the pockets of American citizens-we “ugly” Americans-that has gone to help countries in famine or epidemics or drought—and most of all, that could bring back all the American sons and daughters who have given their lives for the worthless people who take what America so generously gives, up to the lives of our own people, while they denigrate and criticise us. I wish we could bring our troops home from all over the world, and all our weapons and defense systems that enable these countries to subsidise their lazy citizens and call us “materialistic” and “selfish”. Let them pay their own way, and see just how “enlightened” they can afford to be when we’re not footing the bill.
It’s bad enough to have to put up with them when they’re foreigners, but it takes the cake when Americans (Carter, Gore, now Barry) get rewarded and applauded for making their own country the scapegoat for the world’s ills, while extorting the money from Americans to give the same people who hate us.
BTW, your wife should look into couponing as a way to provide food relief in her job. My only limitation on free and almost free food is the size of my refrigerator.
I should win the Nobel Peace prize for finding a great way to feed the hungry...namely me.
p.s. Nothing generates a thirst for beer like hot spicy Buffalo wings.
