I liked it very much.
However, it seemed strange without the foul language, “N” word, ghetto speak, gang banging, cop killing, sex, white hating, rape and riot stuff.
But then, those were the old days, long ago, back when there was REAL hope and change.
Try Brooke Benton and Dinah Washington “You got What It Takes”;
Also, Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt, “All I need to Know”;
Also, Nino Tempo and April Stevens, “Deep Purple”;
Also, Ray Charles, Betty Carter — “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”;
Also, Johnny Cash and June Carter, “Jackson”;
Also, Steve Lawrence and Eyde Gorme — “This Could be the Start of Something Big”.
Just a few for further consideration, with no disparagement of Satchmo and Ella, at all!
Love Ella! She could sing the phone book and it would sound great!
Jackie Cain and Roy Kral: “Are You Real?”
Ella is the greatest. She is my muse.
I was just listening to Cry me a River before I hit this thread.
Their disc on Super Audio CD is nothing short of a masterpiece.
SMOOOOOOOTH!!!
Here’s a nice one. *ping*
That was thoughtful of you. I love that song. Thanks!
