Thanks to the Washington Post's Roman Oben, we now have complete clarity on the new rules for potential NFL team owners: Obama critics need not apply.
In a candid moment during today's Al Sharpton radio show (probably not intended for the rest of us to hear), Oben admitted that Rush's political views regarding Obama were key to the opposition that appears to have derailed his bid to purchase the St Louis Rams.
Were the fabricated racist statements and overall smear campaign simply added to camouflage the real (partisan political) agenda?
Oben's revelation comes a day after news that Barack-tart Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas was given the green light to purchase a portion of the Miami Dolphins.
Now, he’s not going to be a minority owner. He would assert himself on some of these committees and it would be just a matter of time before he said something on a bigger platform than what he said about McNabb. Now he’s going to say something that’s going to negatively reflect the Rams organization and the NFL as a whole and that something I think Roger Goodell and the NFL PA (Players Association) should pay attention to.
Just hours later, it was announced that the smear machine championed by Oben, Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and others had succeeded in derailing Limbaugh's NFL bid.
Welcome to America circa 2009, where loyalty to the ruling class determines private ownership of assets. Sound more than a bit like Chavez's Venezuela?

Welcome to the new world of socialism where you had better keep your mouth shut if you disagree with the powers that be and want to participate in society. I am glad the morality of these people is finally coming into the light..Then folks can decide just how much they want to support NFL. God bless Rush..They have been after him for a long time now..It looks like the power of racial politics is a driving force here.
RUSH, do not play “Mr. Niceguy”, and let this go unanswered... they are out to DESTROY YOU AND EVERYTHING YOU BELIEVE AND STAND FOR and they will continue to do so unless and until you teach them all a VERY COSTLY LESSON for their lying and slander.
Suing EVERY ONE INVOLVED in this travesty is NOT about the money, it IS about protecting RUSH’s good name and being slandered as a RACIST and losing his livelihood as a direct result of lies and slander.
He had better go after EVERY ONE of these libelous liars, EVEN IN THE NFL. He must hit and hurt them in the only place they care about... their wallets and pocketbooks. Every one of them will be groveling because they have stepped in the poo BIG TIME. RUSH can not be like President George Bush and sit idly by while his critics walked all over him and labeled him with things that were not true. RUSH has been libeled, slandered and lied about all over the national air waves with the result being that he has been removed from the consortium that is in the process of buying the Rams and he can not afford to let this go unanswered because his reputation and good name have been sullied and he has lost tens, maybe even HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of dollars in potential earnings as a direct result of their lies and slander. He has been labeled a RACIST, he can not let that stand.
Heck, I bet RUSH has a bevy of uber lawyers who have lined up to take on the case for a reduced rate or for free because he is so beloved and this crime is so egregious.
Rush will sue because the left has made it plain for all to see that they have every intention of hounding him to death and seeking to destroy him no matter what he does. They want to RUIN him and run him out of town... period.
Rush can not let this stand. If he did, they will view it as a battle won in their war against him and they will pursue him all the harder. If, on the other hand he sues them all and, I do mean ALL, he will win in a court of law. They will loose to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars and they will all think twice in the future about lying and slandering him.
RUSH, if you are reading this, why don't you use the monies you are awarded to set up a non-profit legal foundation to fight for and protect the legal rights of conservatives who have been or are being treated as you were?
There is only one way the NFL and players will get the message and that’s “money”. Stop going. Stop watching.

"Here is the $100 Million dollars I was going to use to buy the Rams, Instead I've decided to take half of it and establish a Political Action Committee to defeat democrats in 2010. The other half will be use to file lawsuits against every last commentator that misquoted me and with $50 million in my legal fund, I'm betting, win or lose, I will bankrupt most of you in legal fees alone."
It will be a Shock and Awe offense today on Rush’s show. I’m guessing an all out, all-barrels-firing assault on the liars and smear merchants - including Obama and his racist background, i.e. Wright, “Typical White Person.”
Hannity gave a hint last night (which I’m sure came from Rush or Levin) mentioning the hypocrisy of Obama becoming president with his racist statements (Sean rattled em off) and Rush not being allowed to own a freakin NFL team.
Support college football,football at its best!
Obama has become a source of disunity, not unity, and frankly I am not suprised.
He will team up with Mark Levin and one does not mess around with Levin!
Now that I have found that the NFL is racist, I am giving it up. Here’s to low TV ratings and empty seats.

So, Jay-Z is a part owner of an NBA team and is on video spewing racist statements against Whites, but Rush is nowhere taped with anything but is disinvited to bid on a team. We all know ‘what up’ with 0bamaland and the White folk—or asians or hispanics, etc..
I was never a big sports fan, but there will be no NFL on my TV from now on.

Great article. Socialism is descending upon this country with increasingly rapid speed. Yesterday’s science fiction warnings are happening NOW. It’s sad. Nothing to do but continue to fight against the tyranny and try to alert the ignorant.
