GOP Gubernatorial Candidate (N-Marianas) Embraces Palin!

As it turns out, there is a GOP gubernatorial nominee in 2009 who thinks Gov. Palin is an asset. Not in Virginia, not New Jersey - but let's not forget that the Northern Mariana Islands are also electing a Governor this year.

And guess who's picture is front and center on the website of GOP nominee Heinz Sablan Hofschneider? I'll give you a hint, it's not Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Tim Pawlenty, or Newt Gingrich. I might also add that two of the last three governors in the Northern Marianas were Republicans (and the current Governor is an ex-Republican who started his own third party), so Hofschneider is a serious candidate.CNMI resident Heinz S. Hofschneider met former Governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican U.S. Vice-Presidential candidate, Sarah L. Palin during a stop-over at the Narita International Airport in September. This makes me proud of Guam and the associated islands. Can't get much further from Harvard that this, can you?

It may take a while for mainstream Republicans to become comfortable with Sarah as she is what they fear the most: a true conservative with no apologies to those whose toes must be stepped on to advance America, not compromise America.

She's the new face on a very old tradition: freedom. Too many 'conservatives' have abandoned this concept for a more modern 'translations' that seem to placate majorities. Well, that was then, this is now. And more Americans want what once was, rather than what is being hawked today- socialism/statism, etc.

I personally can't wait for the public rallies and the chance to be among those who would gather to hear this message- her message- which is essentially a return to the prinicples of our past.

And, to those who haven't 'followed' history and may have to repeat it, this may be a chapter they'll enjoy. Something they'll be able to tell their grandchildren about.
