Here is video of Brit Hume saying President Obama's War on Fox News is an "anti-media campaign not seen since the days of Richard Nixon."

Hume said in the short-term Obama may gain something by intimidating others in the media not to cover stories being covered by Fox News. But in the long-run, Hume believes Obama will suffer because he is fundamentally changing the image he worked so hard to create of being a different kind of candidate who would bring change to politics. . . . I don’t think it will help him at all in the long-run, and will backfire as more independents and even Dems turn on Fox News just to see how crazy and biased it is, and realize that it’s actually not.

But for a few weeks - maybe - it might buy Obama some time by keeping the distraction level lower as Fox guns away at his czars, his nutty communications director, Afghanistan, and his farked healthcare proposal. I think his whole gameplan now is to stall on making a decision to put troops into Afghanistan until after he rams healthcare through, so as to not alienate his left-wing radical supporters.

But it won’t work, IMHO, because the other networks know they are losing ground to Fox and ignoring these stories that Fox is all over is contrary to their own financial success.

I wish Brit had never said that George W. Bush was a “true blue conservative”. I haven’t been able to listen to a word the man has said since.

Good for Brit Hume. He used the “Nixon” slam to hit the Dems where it hurts - right in their biased wingnut hatred that goes way back to the hated Nixon (who stood up to the commies when he was in the Senate).

Am sure the Obama crowd did NOT LIKE being accused of being “like Nixon”.... not on TELEVISION of all places.

Much of what the Obamunists are doing is driving LOTS of people who previously did not watch Fox to watch it. GOOD!

Most Americans, even the young ones, do not like being told what / who they can watch on television or what to think. even if they don’t always agree with the editorial / commentary programs on Fox.

Now they get plastered with the hated (by the left) Nixon slam.

Good for Brit!

Perhaps someone should introduce Mr. Hume to the life and philosophies of Mr. Goldwater. Now there was a man that we could use right now.
