The Republican Party's breathtaking cluelessness in NY-23 election
Patriot Room ^ | October 28, 2009 | Bill Dupray

But even if we were not supporting him, it is still mind boggling why the national Republican Party, and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) in particular, cannot seem to acknowledge that their candidate, Dede Scozzafava is (1) tanking in the polls and cannot win and (2) is taking votes from Hoffman, who, if he got her votes, would most definitely beat the Democrat, Bill Owens.

But I would expect the NRCC, which is presumably interested in electing any Republican that can win wouldn't try to be the cause of the fight-on-the-right.

Ah, yes, the old "he/she can win" argument they love to beat us over the head with every election. The argument that is apparently only valid when said Repub is a socialist RINO.

“Hoffman, who, if he got her votes, . . .”

I bet the dem would pick up a lot of Hoffman’s votes.

They’re not clueless. The RNC, NRCC and the rest of the GOP establishment have clearly identified conservatives as their number one enemy.

After all, the donks aren’t going to stand in the way of their cocktail party circuit, big-spending, back-slapping DC business as usual. Conservatives will...so we are the enemy.

Even tho I listen to Rush every day, and am a 24/7 subscriber, I don’t bother when the a**clown Davis is on.

I heard about what he said, and I suspect Rush’s inbox is overflowing with complaints about it. Did any callers get in to clean Davis’s clock about his stoopid RINO attitude?

Davis is no rino. That being said he also is so damned arrogant that he cannot for the life of him admit inncorrectness.

On his local show he was barrraged by people calling him out and he crabbed one way and then the other about what he actually meant and said.

I cannot believe Limbaugh lets him guest host.

It has been my impression that when a conservative candidate is in dire straits, the RNCC and the RNSC pulls out. When either a rino or a diablo is in trouble and the RNCC/RNSC doubles down. If this is correct, the washington establishment continues to show us how much the value conservatives.
