TV news is really “run,” not by the reporters or anchors these days. it is “managed” by the producers. They are all sallow young men and women, long absent from the sun or sunny dispositions. They are 95% very liberal, have little or no real world experience, and all get together every week to drink wine and tell each other they are better than the rest of America.
Most are not widely traveled, and their educations were centered in the “good” schools.
The are arch-typical Obama supporters.
One of my favorite stunts was to take a new network producer with me for a ride on Saturday night. We would go out in an unmarked NY or Jersey City PD car, into the worst neighborhoods, and run calls with two plainclothes street cops. I would always ensure that one of the cops was Black.
These were all kids who thought America's underclass were all oppressed people, etc.
8 hours in a radio car in Bedford-Styvastant or The Bottoms gave them a better education than all their college work.
At least 3% would quit TV immediately, and another 10% became overnight conservatives.
But the current crop would poop their pants, and demand a congressional investigation if they ever watched those videos.
