Gallery of Newsweek Bush Covers
Track-A-'Crat ^ | November 04, 2009 | Track-A-'Crat

There are 29 of 'em.

And they can be handily compared with the Newsweek Obama covers (here: http://trackacrat.com/2009/10/09/5007/), which number 30, both in terms of frequency and tone of coverage.

I can safely report that the findings conform to the pattern established earlier: namely, that President Bush was consistently treated like a leper, while President Obama receives the all-star treatment.

Some choice Newsweek Bush covers include the wonderfully objective titles of, “Bush’s $87 Billion Mess“, “The Price of Denial“, “How Much Power Should They Have?“, “Will Bush Listen?” and the awesomely condescending “Father Knows Best.”

Follow the jump for links to the shrine of TIME Obama covers and the collection of TIME covers featuring Dubya, for a similar compare-and-contrast exercise...

Yep, it’s pretty disgusting to see the contrast.

Is Newsweek still in business. I was under the impression that they had gone under.

I hope that President Bush is enjoying his retirement and not fretting himself none about Newsweek Magazine.

I think Newsweek is desperate to get any audience and is hoping the few ultra liberals would buy covers with Obama the way the Enquirer uses Jon and Kate.

Yep, they’re latching on to something - anything - that will net them a few more cents and, luckily for them, it just so happens that Obama’s strain of Left-wing idiocy mirrors their own almost exactly.

My computer illiteracy amazes me at times - did you just copy and past the covers? It wouldn’t work for me...

Actually, I went to your website, and saw that each cover was a separate image, so I clicked on my browser's VIEW>SOURCE button, and the source html code for that page is opened in a notpad document.

Then I simply cut and pasted the html you had for displaying all the covers. It ported over to FR html comment window with no problems.

Here, I did the same for your Zero covers:

Thanks, Yo-Yo. It’s a minor miracle that I haven’t deleted my own site by accident yet.

It’s even easier with Firefox. You can highlight the portion you want, right click in it and get the source code, the part you want is highlighted and ready for “Copy.”
