Listen up, Muslims – the West fought for you

Radovan Karadzic’s defence against 11 charges of genocide did not get off to the best possible start at the Hague last week. The chief prosecutor at the international criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia opened proceedings by releasing transcripts of tapped telephone conversations of the Bosnian Serb leader from 1991, which record Karadzic saying: “There are 20,000 armed Serbs around Sarajevo ... it will be a black cauldron where 300,000 Muslims will die. They will disappear. That people will disappear from the face of the earth.”

It’s true that these recordings do not mention Srebrenica, where 7,000 captured Bosnian Muslim men and youths were massacred; but as a clear indicator of genocidal intent they leave no room for doubt.

The release of the wiretaps is just a small part of the efforts made by what we used to call the West to bring about justice for the families of those massacred Muslims. A friend of mine who was involved in the location and disinterment of the victims’ hidden remains is just one of many Britons who have given years of their life to this grim cause: the International Commission on Missing Persons was established in 1996 specifically to piece together as many as possible of the victims of the Bosnian conflict.

The ICMP’s director-general is an American, Kathryne Bomberger; she designed its “super-mortuary”, the world’s largest storage facility for human remains, where parts of no fewer than 4,000 bodies are kept. This is exhibit A in the trial of Karadzic, as it was in the prosecution of Slobodan Milosevic, whose interminable trial at the Hague was abandoned after his death from a heart attack in 2006.

These trials cast an uncomfortable searchlight on the behaviour of European politicians during the earlier stages of the Bosnian conflict...

When you say that we’re chasing the wrong people by going after the Serbs, you are so very right.

The Serbs have been proven right many times over since the 1990s.

And that’s the real problem for the West. How can the West possibly justify siding with the Islamists against the Christian Serbs?

By making the Christians out to be the “bad guys”, of course.

If I remeber my history right, didn't the Serbs support the allies in WWII, in fact they were largly responsible for tying up an entire panzer division. OTOH, muslims supported the Nazis up until it was obvious that Hitler was finished.

Muslims have their stilted narrative of what happened in Bosnia and the Brits have their own stilted narrative:

"The chief prosecutor at the international criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia opened proceedings by releasing transcripts of tapped telephone conversations of the Bosnian Serb leader from 1991, which record Karadzic saying: “There are 20,000 armed Serbs around Sarajevo ... it will be a black cauldron where 300,000 Muslims will die. It’s true that these recordings do not mention Srebrenica, where 7,000 captured Bosnian Muslim men and youths were massacred; but as a clear indicator of genocidal intent they leave no room for doubt."

Really? Not if you read the entire quote (bottom of page 7 thru 8) in context instead of plucking only the selected bits that make Karadzic look like a maniac.

The whole link to the quote in context:

"They [the Bosnian-Muslims] are preparing for war ... they will try to wage war here [in Sarajevo] ... they're totally crazy ... they will disappear, that people will disappear from the face of the earth if they start [a war] now ... they have to know that there are 20,000 armed Serbs around Sarajevo, that's insane, they will disappear, Sarajevo will be a black cauldron where 300,000 Muslims will die, they're not right in the head."

Karadzic is saying that the Muslims will die, IF THE MUSLIMS DECLARE WAR, not that he was "plotting their genocide".

These prosecutors and their fans are living in an alternate universe, telling themselves stories that defy logic -- no more or less than the Muslims he complains about are doing toward the US & Britain.

The author should "pluck the log out of his own eye" before passing judgment on anyone!

The Serbs didn't only fight with the Allies in WWII, they were saving the Allies in WWII via the Halyard Mission of 1944 and other rescue operations.

The Serbs also fought alongside the Allies in World War One, and their breakthrough on the Salonika Front (Macedonia) in September of 1918 was extremely significant in securing the defeat of the Central Powers later that year.

The Bosnian Muslims comprised the first group of "Non-Aryan" forces that the Nazis recruited to fight on the side of the Axis. This is very significant, and a point that is often missed. The Nazis actually CHOSE the Bosnian Muslims, the troops that were called the SS Handzar Division, and the Bosnian Muslims were, indeed, enthusiastic members of the Nazi brigade in the former Yugoslavia, complementing the Croatian Ustashe.

Today, the Bosnian Muslims are referred to as the victims of the Serbs...

A perfect example of “selective context”.

You can take ANYTHING anyone says and make it fit a predetermined conclusion.

I always LOVE ‘listening’ to the British pass judgment on the Serbs.

Beyond hubris.

Ah yes, and the Brits have been so "successful" at handling the Muslim issues in their own country.

What goes around comes around!

That’s the usual MO of the prosecution at the Hague, they need to cherry pick through evidence and pull it out of context in order to make their case.

Pathetic.

The Muslims terrorizing military bases is due to stress.

This is the same kind mentality that is adjudicating the Radovan case. In fact, the numbers are fabricated even according to the Red Cross of how many were killed.

Why isn't Nasir Oric arrested and shot for murdering Serbian families and children on Easter Sunday? They let him go. Because he served them well.

They will find out the truth when they have a knife at their throat just before Muhammed cuts it off.

This is all a show to justify the means.
