That’s kind of what I did (my about me is fairly generic), I cringe when I see people with family photos posted... they may not be as anonymous as they think.
There may be people posting on FR who are not who they seem (not everyone is "nice" in this world. They could be DU members, jihadis or criminals. People are stealing identities from those who use MySpace and Facebook according to the news. Those who post consistently and grow to be FRiends eventually know enough about you through PMs that it really doesn't matter. It's a personal perogative IMHO.
