William “Cold Cash” Jefferson, former Democratic Representative from Louisiana was sentenced to 13 years in prison today after being convicted on a number of federal corruption charges.
Jefferson, you will recall, was infamous for having $90,000 in bribe money hidden in his freezer...

Jefferson took the fall. He was just the bag man for a larger kick back scheme run by the Dem Black Caucus on federal grants to African nations. They Dem BC helped grease the grant applications, and then held out their hands for the kick back after the money went out.Jefferson collected it as a bag man.
This is Obamas idea as well, the role of compassionate aid is to line ones pockets and let the Africans starve to death.

When does the sentence begin? Will he be able to stay out of the slam while he appeals?

Unfortunately, it's the NEA-indoctrinated teachers and professors who are the ones who run for office because they get automatically get financial backing from the union commie bosses.

Quick, Mr. President! Pardon him before he starts talking to grand juries. Your congressional majorities might be in danger, if they (evil, mendacious, scheming Republicans) start dredging up that “culture of corruption” malarkey that we used on them in ‘06.
