Bravo to you! I hadn’t broken 225 yet. I need standing and sitting work. I shoot an off the shelf Marlin 795.

Yeah it’s hard for some of us older folks to hit some of the positions. The prone-stand with safety on-prone routine can be a little difficult, too. But it’s great training.

Funny thing about the standing position - that’s one area where I didn’t expect to do well, bit’s one of my most accurate. The plain old canvas sling on my StG 58 FAL gives me a solid platform in the hasty sling mode. The loop sling’s great if you have the time to se it up.

Also, I shot that score without once using the StG 58 built-in bipod. So I should be able to do even better with the bipod. Haven’t had the time to test the premise, though.
