Here is video of David Brooks on ABC's "This Week" saying Sarah Palin is a "joke" and calling her a "potential talk show host."
Brooks said "I just can't take her seriously" and said "the idea that this potential talk show host is considered seriously for the Republican nomination, believe me it will never happen." (Video)

That was pretty gay.
Who the heck does he think he is? He doesn’t know her and he is just spouting the liberal line. He has been around these low-lifes too long and just says what first started out with the original attacks on her with no substance whatever. Brooks has gone over to the dark side. Pay him no heed.
Take that Mike Huckabee!
Brooks will be eating crow in a couple of years. When Palin wins by a landslide in 2012, I believe many in the media will jump out of windows or off the tops of tall buildings.
Is that like a TV show or something?
And former sportscaster, David. Don’t forget that. It strikes me we had some success with a conservative pol who had that particular item on his resume, once upon a time.
David Brooks. What a newshole.
What is a david brooks, and why should i care what it says?
“That was pretty gay.”
Are you sure that his last name is Brooks, rather than Brock.
Pretty close, if you ask me.
I’d say the NY Times is a joke.
David Brooks???? Never heard of him, Dont expect to.
We know that Brooks is only turned on by guys with sharp creases in their tight slax.
The same David Brooks who said that Obama was Presidential type material because of Obama’s great creases in his pants.....I kid you not!
I love the smell of fear on their breath.....
well Obama has run a country ...into the ground
How’s Barack Obama working out David?
Hey David, you’re on a talk show and not even the host. Are we supposed to take anything you say seriously?
Guess what, Brooks? I don’t take YOU seriously afer you went gaga for 0 last year.
Who is David Brooks??
That's because mr brooks, you take yourself way too seriously, and you can't see Sarah Palin's accomplishments from the 10 mile high pedestal you've perched your foolish self on.
But thats ok..... because we don't need your opinion. We think for ourselves nowadays thank you very much.
Another dumb ass calling Sarah Palin a “joke” WOW this is really getting old..Yawn, wake me up when they come up with something better
If you ever need to see an idiot say something, just put David Brooks on a Sunday morning talking head show.
I don’t care much for Palin as a presidential candidate(I think she’s the only GOP candidate Hussein could beat), but the remarks by Brooks are off base.
Is there a bigger joke than David Brooks?
and the reason I should care what David brooks thinks.......
...David Brooks the same “reporter” who wrote a column
about the 9/12 march — not as a result of showing up as a journalist
(e.g as Byron York, Washington Examiner did, who did a great story)
but because he “usually jogs near the mall” and encountered
some Tea Partiers that day.
Wake me up David when you get a clue.
Someone needs to teach him a lesson.
David Brooks, Log Cabin Republican
This is merely a transparent use by David Brooks of Alinski tactic #5 “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” This is basically the only effective tactic the media has against Sarah Palin. Unfortunately for David Brooks, Sarah Barracuda has caught on to this one. We are seeing another universal principle begin to take over, the No publicity is bad publicity principle. Even a minor bit player in the Palin media hatchet job, Levi Johnson can draw more media attention than Al Gore or John Kerry.
The ridicule of Sarah Palin has been baseless fluff. As that becomes more and more apperant, familiarity is going to become a huge factor in the next presidential election especially with democrat credibility going down the toilet. People are going to want to vote for someone that they can trust to get them out of the huge mess that Obama is leading us into. No one looks and acts more trustworthy and believable than Sarah Palin. When she starts stepping in front of the huge tea party crowds, magic is going to happen.
I see Mr. Brooks is employing Alinsky's rules numbers
Yawn, they really need to get a new playbook.
The nasty nature and derision on these people’s part is a benefit to Palin. They really are unhinged and their problem is Palin is going to speak and be heard, without their filter and they are not the final say. All pretty damning to the PDS crowd.
Go get your spit-shine box David.
THose sharp creases make it easier for the Matthews-like
tingle up the leg to have a channel to travel in.
The joke’s going to be on him when she takes the POTUS oath of office in January 2013.
I'll wager there are a good deal more Republicans who will vote for Sarah Palin in any primary than there are Republicans who read David Brooks stuff or even know who he is.
We know there's an opening at CNN and all that but, c'mon man, you can't look that eager.
David Brooks is the “House Conservative” at the NY Times; if you are unfamiliar with what this means, it is similar to what Pravda used to try under the Soviets. They would have one guy, I think his name was “Joe” who spoke perfect English and who would be the “house critic” of Soviet policies to show that dissent in Russia really was tolerated. Ted Koppel, to his credit, tried to pin him down on Nightline as to exactly what he would criticize in the Soviet government; Sweating, Joe responded weakly that he thought that the government’s condemnation of the takover of the US Embassy by the Iranian “students” could have been a bit tougher. David Brooks is the “Joe” of the NY Times.
Great to hear from the Preppie GOP, Dave. I bet Sarah’s lousy with a squash racket, too. But you’d probably stay inside when the next rainstorm hits Manhattan, because with your nose that far up in the air, you’ll drown, son.
David Brooks. What a newshole.Did you make up that term just for little Davey? It's an excellent term and I'm going to be using it.
But little Davey Brooks is a "conservative"... don't you know?
Eat yer heart out Davy, baby. Eat yer heart out.
No. But I wish I did.
I stole it from a local radio talk show in nearby Sacramento. Armstrong & Getty. They come up with some good ones. I steal as many as I can.
As many as I can remember anyways.
Feel free to use it. I hope to hear them talk about how the word has become part of the lexicon some day.
I don’t think there’s any Republican that Hussein can beat in 2012, PROVIDED there’s an election, and Hussein hasn’t legalized 30 million Mexicans. We will be in the fourth year of a Depression, but to the Mexican illegals it will seem like paradise, provided by Hussein.
I am for Sarah because I THINK she might have the guts to work for real reform and restoration. My dream is to restore silver and gold coins to circulation, abolish the Fed, repeal the 16th, 17th, and 19th amendments, deport all illegals, and make our borders as secure from illegals as the Berlin Wall. We would pay an economic penalty for preserving our language and culture, but Free Trade is only one aspect of the Common Good.
Because of political correctness, in The NY Times newsroom they prefer to say, "that was pretty Brooks."
I can’t wait for that.
Not just the liberal, but the leftist-extremist line.
Hard leftist David Corn (currently with Mother Jones, previously Katrina vanden Heuvel's "Igor" at The Nation) was on the panel, and fell all over himself, chiming in again and again, to agree with and praise Brooks' comments regarding Palin.
This didn't appear to bother Brooks at all. In fact he seemed to be enjoying the praise.
