Sarah Palin: Newsweek
Facebook ^ | 11-16-09 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 11/16/2009 8:05:50 PM PST by euram

The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate. When it comes to Sarah Palin, this "news" magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner's World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness - a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention - even if out of context.

Unfortunate, but deliberately chosen with a view to subconsciously planting the image of Sarah Palin as a pinup girl in people’s minds.

Answer to the talk show dude on Hannity who apparently thought Sarah picked the pic and should stay in dresses for her “image” and Dana Perino and Greta’s sexism. Which it is.

Bob Beckle was on Hannity tonight and used this picture to demean Palin and Hannity didn’t really have a good come back.

Conservatives need to do better and quicker.

Sarah, the best thing to do is take the high road. Ignore Newsweek.

I gotta concede and say I agree. I think Palin should have left Newsweek alone.

You’re talking Sean. He doesn’t debate well and he’s not quick. I don’t know why he wastes time with Beckel.

Remember the old ‘don’t hate me because I’m beautiful’? That could be one of Sarah’s cheeky slogans. Would they prefer Helen Thomas?

Unfortunately, Hannity isn't really a true conservative.

Oh, yes, Hannity pretends to be conservative, but I tend to view people by the folk that they "hang" with and some of Hannity's favorite guests are: Dick Morris, Bob Beckel, and many more that are of similar "qualities."

Sean is more media personality of "conservative lite," in my opinion.

Greta, Hannity, BOR, you name them, they fail to do their homework when it comes to Palin, that is why so many attacks live on, some nitwit on their show says something, and they don’t have any kind of answer. You would think that if they want to discuss the topic of Sarah Palin they would at least read the op/eds she’s written, or at least be aware that she’s written them.

You sound like Palin had a say on what picture was put on the cover of Newsweek.

That wasn't the case. Newsweek chose that picture first, to sell more magazines and second, to help the liberal cause.

This is just another example of the double standard.

I’m wondering how Newsweek even got the photo. They had to purchase rights to use it from Runners World.

I hope Runner's World took 'em for every penny they got.

You know, I’m so sick and tired of the MSM and the Dems attacking Palin and then to have Conservatives, weather they are talk show hosts, politicians or columinsts, I want to lump them into the same group.

Palin seems to be a threat to alot of the establishment, both Dems and Conservatives.
