He may be an utter failure as a President; a hollow, arrogant, petty, vindictive, malicious, poorly-behaved and ill-spoken, embarassing empty suit of a man, but he's also the world's greatest gun salesman. The UK papers are reporting that sales have nearly tripled for Smith and Wesson, and that the rest of the industry is sharing similar growth. The UK papers say it's because Americans are concerned about growing crime(?), the economy, and terrorism. The real truth is that Americans are buying weapons at a record pace to protect themselves from the government and Mr. Obama.

I over heard a conversation at Taco Bell, two retirees talking about buying guns to protect themselves. AK 47’s @$400 ea.. Not one of my preferences, unless it was made in Finland.
The back-story here that is being missed is while there is a huge increase in gun sales and an even larger increase in ammo sales, there IS NOT a corresponding increase in “blood in the streets” that the anti-gunners always predict.
Wow, today I spent $150 on ammunition, even! Three hundred more rounds of 9mm, 1500 rounds of 22LR, and 200 rounds of 32 ACP for my CCW.
What I find amazing is that you were eating a at Taco Bell... yuck.

Just received two more boxes of .45 auto ammunition from CheaperThanDirt.com and bought some .45 auto and .22LR at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Nearby Wal-Mart is having a horrible time keeping ammo on the shelves.

Today UPS delivered to me 750 rounds of various .17HMR. I simply must protect myself from those evil ground squirrels, prairie dogs and whatever other varmint is out there. A large package of .22LR should be also coming, including some of the expensive and harder to find lead-free rounds. But, thanks to that condor, lead-free is required in some places that I plan on visiting starting, perhaps, end of February. And you can't go wrong with having lots of regular .22LR around.
With regard to "protect themselves from the government and Mr. Obama", I do not expect to need that any time soon. The government will be walking way behind the leading wave of criminals. And to unleash that Fifth Column the government only needs to ... do nothing. It's so easy. After some time the people will *beg* the government to send the troops in. All the fighting types would be already taken care of by expendable street thugs.
At least somebody gets it.
