At a November 21, 2009 conference in Qom, Ali Saeedi, Khamenei's representative in the IRGC, aimed a veiled threat at the US, saying that this country is no longer immune to attack. Assaults like 9/11 have proved that its stability can be compromised, he explained.

EMP Attack Would Send America into a Dark Age

Somewhere in America, most like in many parts of America where there is a Muslim mosque there are nearby some people and probably groups of people not too terribly pleased to know that while Americans go to church, to work, to school that these Muslims instead preach how to destroy America.
And small events may happen, there may be a fire at one of these mosques but the fire equipment has a breakdown and is late getting there or has accidentally filled the on board water tanks with diesel fuel, utilities have frequent outages, neighboring buildings suddenly transform into establishments that cater events like pig racing, dog kennels, smoked ham products and the such.
Interesting accidents happen such as a sudden onslaught of out of control R/C aircraft impact the buildings breaking windows.
A home built trebuchet nearby accidentally drops a dog feces filled pumpkin on the roof, repeatedly.
Homebuilt cellphone jammers made from microwave parts and mylar covered umbrellas disrupt any communication.
Those drive by cruisers with the 10,000 watt sound sytems that go BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM park outside....during prayer sessions.
I’ve run out of ideas at the moment, I’m sure someone else will have something new to add.
The new Iranian Sea should prove interesting (if not glowing).
