WaPo On Obama: Dithering Is SO Deep
Stephen Kruiser ^ | 11/25/09 | Stephen Kruiser

WaPo continues to go out of its way to make the country wistful for the journalistic integrity of, say, Globe Magazine or Weekly World News.

Perhaps the real reason that American newspapers are unable to make any money is because of the huge Chap-Stick expenditures necessitated by their constant kissing of President Obama's ass.

President George W. Bush once boasted, "I'm not a textbook player, I'm a gut player." The new tenant of the Oval Office takes a strikingly different approach. President Obama is almost defiantly deliberative, methodical and measured, even when critics accuse him of dithering. When describing his executive style, he goes into Spock mode, saying, "You've got to make decisions based on information and not emotions."

When, oh when, will anything this president does be able to stand on its own without a juvenile game of compare and contrast with his predecessor? Yes, every president inherits things from the president before him. The difference? The rest of them brought a pair to the job, shut their whiny little mouths and did their jobs. Obama has spent so much time whining about George W. Bush that his little press monkeys have taken the cue and do it for him when he's not around.

I picture Obama pulling the number of troops out of a hat. He had 5 shots...30, 000...31...32...33...34...35...

The guy just can't make decisions.

For him to go to West Point and make the announcement almost simultaneously....

Can you say photo-op???

Like the information he used to make a decision to justify his stimulus package? You know, the information that was the basis for his promising the American people that the stimulus would keep unemployment from rising above 8%? Give me a break.

“President Obama is almost defiantly deliberative, methodical and measured, even when critics accuse him of dithering....”

I originally thought his dithering was a sign of inability to make a decision, lack of experience, etc. But I think I was wrong.

The longer this goes on, and the farther he drags it out, the more I become convinced that it is actually his way of flipping the bird to Gen. McChrystal, Americans in general, our Military, their families, our dead and wounded, our Veterans, everybody.

The cherry on top will be the MANNER in which his “plan” unfolds when he at long last gets around to laying one out. Rumors that it will take at least a year and a half for his response to Gen. McChrystal to actually materialize is just further waving of the middle finger!

"critics accuse him of dithering."

He's like a man trying to hide from a debt collector.

24 Nov 2009 British defense secretary, Bob Ainsworth took the unprecedented step of publicly criticising the US President and his delays in sending more troops to bolster the mission against the Taliban.A “period of hiatus” in Washington - and a lack of clear direction - had made it harder for ministers to persuade the British public to go on backing the Afghan mission," http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/defence/6646179/Bob-Ainsworth-criticises-Barack-Obama-over-Afghanistan.html

To Obama, US military troops are only “photo ops” and it doesn’t matter if they are dead or alive.
