pringfield, MO - (KTVI-FOX2now.com) Thousands of fans will be "Going Rogue" in Springfield, Missouri Wednesday. Former Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will sign copies of her new book on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Borders bookstore on Glenstone Avenue in Springfield. Many Palin fans and supporters camped out all night in the cold to for a chance to meet the Republican 'rock star.' Doors opened at 7 a.m. Palin is expected to arrive around 10 a.m. and sign copies of her book for about two hours.
Palin also give the convocation speech at the College of the Ozarks near Branson later in the day. Tickets are no longer available, and the speech is closed to the news media.
The title "Going Rogue" refers to a phrase from John McCain's campaign that was used to describe her "going off message."
"Going Rogue" has gone platinum. HarperCollins said Tuesday that just two weeks after publication, Sarah Palin's memoir has sold 1 million copies. The print run for "Going Rogue" has been increased again, to 2.8 million copies. The original printing was 1.5 million, then moved up to 2.5 million.
"Going Rogue" joins a select club of million-selling political memoirs that includes Barack Obama's "The Audacity of Hope," Hillary Rodham Clinton's "Living History" and Bill Clinton's "My Life."

Oops! Included it in my post, but must have messed up something with html.
Thanks for inlcuding this in the thread.
camped out all night in the cold to for a chance to meet the Republican ‘rock star.’............................... Yes, she is a “Republican” rock star, not an Independent rock star, as the MSM wants her to be. If they want an Independent rock star so bad, then they should push for Hillary, Gore or Howard Dean for that position. This is only the beginning, the momentum will build up in spite of the anticipated dirt throwing that the Dems are so good at.
You do a great job, SolidWood! I always check my “pings” to see what you’ve flagged for the rest of us, first thing after signing on! ;)
It would be great if someone could get a pic of that skank Mitchell scratching on the auditorium door at College of the Ozarks tonight...
T minus 2 days til we get to see Sarah here! Wooot!!! :-)
Is she coming to Arkansas, I don’t recall seeing an itinerary?
Fayetteville appears to be her only Arkansas stop...
Darn, too far, but thank you, I’ll be there in spirit!
Oops, sorry lol, that was meant for you.
She starts signing at 11 tomorrow morning; so make sure your spirit gets in line bright and early. :-)
I got to shake her hand and talk to her for a minute while she signed my book today. I was so thrilled! She asks your name, and listens carefully to what you say, looking you right in the eyes. We had all been shivering cold for hours, and I wasn’t among the only 500 wrist bands Borders gave out, but she sent word outside to us before noon (she was to sign from 10 to 12) that she would stay until we all got in. Bless her, she sure made a lot of people happy. There were several hundred who had not gotten wrist bands, so possibly near 1000 people; not as big a crowd as I’d anticipated in a conservative area like this. But the raw weather could have discouraged a lot of people; besides, as has been noted elsewhere, conservatives work for a living. I’m lucky - I’m retired. She wore a red suit jacket, looked lovely, and was so gracious and nice to all.
“speech is closed to the media.” Shut ‘em out until they grow up.
bttt
