Are Boys Just Unruly Girls?
Deborah Lambert, December 18, 2009
Is the so-called discrimination against girls and women in school just another scam that should be lumped into the same category as global warming and health care reform?
According to Phyllis Schlafly, the answer is a definite yes.
Schlafly pointed to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights plan to investigate whether colleges are discriminating against women by admitting less qualified men as the latest attempt by the feminist lobby to sell the false propaganda that girls are cheated all through the education system, K through 12.
What ever happened to the 60-40 ratio of males to females in school? Thanks to the barrage of feminist propaganda, Schlafly reminds us that the ratio has swung the other waynow hovering close to 40-60.
The major reason for such a dramatic shift in student population is that men are no longer pursuing a college degree with the same intensity as women.
The problem begins in elementary school, which is not only ruled by females, but dominated by feminists, who make school unpleasant for boys from the get-go....

Are girls just good boys??
I am not but, I do get bitchy sometimes.
The workplace has been destroyed by women. It’s no longer about “performance”, but rather, “personality”. Attitude is more important than productivity. It’s all about “what someone said” instead of “what someone did”. Drama drama drama.. Continual exposure of boys and men to the estrogen-dominated schools and workplace ultimately leads to beer summits where they kiss and make up... And guys, don’t forget the importance of using EMOTICONS in your Emails at work. Oooops.. and no ALL CAPS.. You might make a female coworker cry.
Workplace:
Aggressive female is “assertive”
Aggressive male is “hostile”
One year of college, one summer of paid intern, 2nd year of college and summer of "paid intern" might be a good goal.
Might also consider college all year long...The idea that it is set up the same as lower schools is ridiculous.
I guess Im lucky. My Dept VP gave a presentation to my group saying that all bonuses/raises would be strictly given based on who deserved them. There is no “everyone gets a 2-4% bonus.”
If I do well, I may get a real nice one. If I do nothing, I get nothing.
Actually, summer courses tend to be priced on a per-credit basis and you can actually get a good bargain taking courses in the summer. I was in a five year program and I graduated in four by taking summer courses three of the years to get all the liberal arts stuff out of the way. Also cleared the decks so I didn't have to worry about writing literature term papers while I was figuring out electromagnetic theory.
Are you people reading the posted article? What’s with the “off-topic”?
Yeah, they say that at my workplace too. But if you aren't a minority or have a vagina you can pretty much forget all that. Especially when it comes to promotions.
Are Feminists just Ugly Cattle?
“Is the so-called discrimination against girls and women in school just another scam that should be lumped into the same category as global warming and health care reform?’”
Duh.
As I recall, if anything, it was the girls who got the benefit. At least early on, elementary school especially, when we were more impressiobale. Girls, most of them, were always perfect angels. The boys were constantly, and rightly so, admonished for their deviltry.
“The idea that it is set up the same as lower schools is ridiculous.”
They probably don’t give it much thought, so it is a little ridiculous. But two things stand in favor of summers off. First of all, it’s what people are used to, and it’s always easier to go with the flow, so to speak.
More importantly, unlike in the lower levels there actually is still a reason for it. Namely, it gives the people who need it time to work full time and build up money for tuition.
Of course, I worked full time all through college and took as many summer classes as I could (since they’re easier, for me at least). But I didn’t go to a particularly difficult school.
Thats unfortunate.
Altough, our VP actually said “socialist style bonuses are always bad ideas.” Inspired by that. And I actually work for a Canadian company.
“Are you people reading the posted article? Whats with the ‘off-topic’?”
“Woo Woo Woo”—It’s the topic police! Hide your conversational skills and ability to see indirect implications!
My boys went to Clarkson and Syracuse..They did work all summer...but they didn't get credit for it...and it wasn't "career" oriented. Only two semesters were intern work.
Just suggesting closer relationship with companies...and since summer is when most folks go on vacation...might be the perfect time for an intern program.
Yeh....I was the perfect angel....and if it wasn’t for my image in the china cabinet glass whacking my brother....I’d still have my halo.
“What I’m suggesting are summer intern programs...rather than spring and fall.”
Yes, but are they paid? Because a lot of them aren’t. A lot are nothing more than “Get me some coffee, slave.”
