Speaking about the government-run healthcare, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann said it's not totally inevitable that it will pass. She reminded listeners that President Obama wanted the health bill on Labor Day and that got pushed back. Now Obama wants it on Christmas and that could be pushed back.
Rep. Bachmann says we can retreat, or stand our ground. She stated that around 71% of the country could be under Federal control if this bill passes.
Bachmann said if you see your senators when they come home, be strong, and tell them they don't speak for you.
She said, between the prolife march, and the govt.-run healthcare protest folks, we could have over a million people protesting in D.C. soon.
So we have a congresswoman and a senator who are continuing to fight - in fact many reps and senators fighting - and are asking us to join them in this fight. Will you?
Even if the senate passes the bill, the house and senate bills have to merge, and let's not forget there are many discrepancies between the two houses.
And that’s where they’ll slip in the ‘guns are a health hazard’ provisions. They’ve been slavering with anticipation over this one.
I hear some doctor’s offices are already asking patient (via forms they fill out) if they own a gun.
“And thats where theyll slip in the guns are a health hazard provisions.”
Well, they are a health hazard...if you are planning a coup...
What happened to the raging Lefty opposition to the Senate bill? Things seem a bit quiet after last weeks exploding heads. What gives? Were they all given their thorazine injection?
I was asked that by my “doctor” several years ago. I told him it was none on his business. I will never answer that question, or if forced, will not answer it honestly.
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

And she said she wouldn't indicate for herself either, and she doubted the doctor would, as practically the whole office were members of the NRA with CCW permits. She said she would bring the question to the doctors' attention.
I got the feeling the office had just recently started to purchase forms from this new supplier. Of course, not knowing this office, they could just as easily been telling us the same lie they tell any new patient who objects to the gun ownership question. How do you know?
Maybe they were blackmailed or bribed.
“I was asked that by my doctor several years ago. I told him it was none on his business. I will never answer that question, or if forced, will not answer it honestly.”
I agree.
“And one of the “personal” questions was whether he owned a gun. We brought up the question with the secretary. She said she didn’t know it was there ... they buy the forms from some supply house. “
I hope that’s the case, but I wonder who decided it should be on the forms.
“I hear some doctors offices are already asking patient (via forms they fill out) if they own a gun.”
WHAT? That is outrageous!
Actually, they’ve been doing that for a while. My response on one occasion was to write in NYFB on the form. When asked to expalin the response, I smiled and said, “none of your friendly business.”
On another occasion, I responsed to a verbal question by askign the doctor if he was a firearms expert. Answer: no. Then I asked if he was a firearms instructor or martial artist. Answer: no. I then responsed by saying that a) the information was none of his business and b) he lacked the qualifications to pass judgement on anyone’s firearms ownership.
He took umbrage at that and insisted that firearms in he home were a danger. “To whom,” I asked. “Why, children,” he responded. I replied that both of our kids were excellent shots and were well schooled in firearms safety. End of conversation.
Yes...as a matter of fact I did. Both did a fine job.
We need more like YOU!
Bob Scheiffer said that this bill could still fall apart, and the reason I’m mentioning this is so that you won’t give up! Even a liberal like Bob admits it.
Keep fighting, calling, faxing, emailing, call talk shows, write letters to editors, visit their offices, if you can, etc..
