AG Eric Holder's Law Firm Represented 18 Gitmo Detainees After Volunteering to Give Them Free Legal Assistance, Filed Endless Lawsuits in US Courts...
These lawsuits filed against the American people led to the delay of Bush's military-trials, accounting for the "eight years of delay" the Obama administration has used as justification for the 9/11 plotters being tried in civilian court.......
(NRO)- Of all the infuriating aspects of the decision to transfer five 9/11 war criminals to civilian federal court, the one that grates most is the contention that the Obama administration is finally moving forward after eight years of delay as Attorney General Eric Holder put it at his Friday press conference during which the Bush administration managed to complete only three military-commission trials.
This is chutzpah writ large. The principal reason there were so few military trials is the tireless campaign conducted by leftist lawyers to derail military tribunals by challenging them in the courts. Many of those lawyers are now working for the Obama Justice Department. That includes Holder, whose firm, Covington & Burling, volunteered its services to at least 18 of Americas enemies in lawsuits they brought against the American people. (During 2007 alone, Covington contributed more than 3,000 hours of free, top-flight legal assistance to our enemy detainees.)
One would expect no less from these traitors. *SPIT*
Conflict of interest.
More of the 0bama Freak Show of display.
At some point, the population of this country will awaken, and and they will not be pleased.
Then the trash will be taken out and the “Rulers” will not take kindly to the duly earned rewards that said population shall bestow upon them.
And no one will know that our President choose this slimly of all lawyers to head the top legal position in our land. Isn't that conflict now, charging KSM with crimes that you and your law firm have been defending for 8 freaking years?
Yeah right, for free.
I expect a nice, fat “stimulus” check is in their future....
My first thought exactly.
Is he still a partner? Does he receive income from this law firm? Is there a blind trust set up?
The only thing that saves him is that he apparently did not work on any of the cases himself, although it would become interesting if it could be shown that he did. I suppose he’d state though that each prisoner is a separate case, and the DOJ is not currently working on any of the cases he worked on as a private attorney.
Say a Secretary of Defense worked for Boeing. And he worked on 777’s. Then an award for $50 Billion is awarded to Boeing for 787’s.
Would that constitute a conflict of interest?
Yeah. This entire adminstration does. America's interests and that of their clients and themselves.
Suppose the cited SOD was working for the Enemy?
Exactly like Holder and Obama. Not one of their Decisions,
Edicts, Orders, has helped Americans - especially those at point.
All the media and every US citizen (even those lefites with half a brain) need to know in this time of grave concern about National Security as to the integrity of the Obama administration captured in one headline.....
According to the “Truthers” how were they able to coordinate the collapses of the WTC and the Pentagon at nearly the same time, and where are all the victims in the airplanes like Barbara Olson today???
Bob Bauer’s firm defended Al Qaeda. He’s current White House counsel, and he’s the guy who defended O against those crazy birthers.
