Yesterday Newsweek revealed that on December 22nd, three days before the attempted underwear bombing, the President was warned that an attack might be imminent.
In a background briefing for reporters on December 29, also attributed in an official White House transcript to a "senior administration official", that official asserted that in the wake of the attempted underpants attack, it had become clear to the President and top advisers that before Christmas, the US government was in possession of "bits and pieces" of information, which, if they had been properly knitted together, "could have...allowed us to disrupt the attack or certainly to know much more about the alleged attacker in such a way as to ensure that he was on, as the President suggested in his statement, a no-fly list."
Today there was a new revelation, the Obama administration had many more clues about the upcoming terrorist attack including the fact counterterrorism adviser John Brennan was briefed that al Qaeda was sending out terrorists with bombs in their briefs:

Okay. Now is the time for all good Democrats, the ones who charged that Bush failed to “connect the dots” to predict and prevent Sept. 11th, to get after the Obama administration for their failure to connect dots.
And, while they are at it, explain to the American people why we still face terror threats. After emerging from eight years of darkness, the world was supposed to love us again. Especially after Obama has done a lot to make nice with the Muslim world. He gave that speech in Cairo to make nice with Muslims. He admitted that America has not lived up to its highest ideals. He proudly announced that America does not torutre. His attorney general is giving Sept. 11th plotters a civilian trial. He promised to close Gitmo since its mere presence allegedly angers the Muslim world.
After all he’s done, they still hate us and still try to launch attacks against us. This wasn’t supposed to happen. If liberals/Democrats/radicals are intellectually honest, they will explain this disconnect.

Obama was really busy at that time to get the health care thru.. and remember he even sacrificed his vacation time to stay in DC in case he was needed to help push the senate vote over the top.. He could not be bothered with a little thing like terrorist plots..We are so screwed... gotta get this crowd out of DC

Now is the time for all good and security minded Congressmen to remind our president his National Security Strategy was due in July 2009 by law.
Now is is the time for congressional investigations in regard to the CIA, NSA, USMilitary, TSA, and other organizations that rely on the NSS and the lack of opplans with no NSS.
We are in considerably more trouble than the most pessimistic of us could have envisioned.Obamacare, cap and tax,TARP, and porkulus will pale before the catastrophe that is coming because of the apathetic incompetence of the haloed one and his minions.
Could this whole egg on the face thing be O’s payback ‘gift’ from the Agency for screwing with them? Lot of insider style press information available since the 25th...me thinks Rahm and Axe are having a difficult time controlling the ‘message’....

Like with his Afghan decision, he probably thought he could wait three months or so before doing anything; unfortunately events intervened.
if only half of this is true, then what in the hay is Zero doing still on vacation? shouldn’t he be working on this problem as hard as he expected Congress to work on his ‘health care’ ??? or American families on their budgets as they squeeze every dime out of every dollar?
where’s the midnight oil burning at the White House as meeting after meeting is conducted to get us back to “safe”? 6 terrorist attacks on U.S. soil since Zero was elected -that’s one every 45 days or so, not good, and can’t blame Bush.
