The shooting of a twelve year old boy by police has precipitated a Arkansas law banning the sale of realistic looking toy guns.
He was shot by police after they say that he pointed a gun at them which turned out to be a toy gun.
The boys mother says that the toy gun was planted on the child, and he was actually holding a bottle of soda when he was shot. She fought against the law being named after her son. The gun found by police had.....

Heck, we sometimes used real guns playings army in our neighborhood. No ammo of course. I had several foreign rifles and a couple old handguns dad brought back from WWII in addition to a couple sets of German sword/sabre sets we had sword fights with.
Even took them to school on occasions for show & tell.
Yeah, I guess I do look back and wonder at times how I made through childhood alive. :)
I saw an airsoft 1911 at the gun show today that you couldn’t tell from the real thing.
That being said, I did have a lot of fun with toy guns growing up. We certainly wanted the ones that looked as realistic as possible.
