Republicans Open 44%-35% Lead over Democrats in Generic Congressional Ballot - Rasmussen

Republicans have opened up a nine-point lead over Democrats in the Generic Congressional Ballot according to the latest Rasmussen Poll. That is the largest lead Republicans have had in years, now standing at 44%-35%. This news just may push some more Democrats in the House to decide to retire or not run later this year:

Republican candidates start the year by opening a nine-point lead over Democrats, the GOP's biggest in several years, in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 44% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 35% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent.

While the Republican lead has reached a new high, it should be noted that support for GOP candidates rose just one point over the past week, while support for Democrats dropped four points to its lowest level in years. . . . MORE

Wait till the Sheep find out that the "health care reform" package includes a giant tax on the middle class in the form of the "Cadillac plan tax".

The gap will double.
