That was a GREAT interview! I think this is going to be a very good move for her and O’Reilly was very good with her too.

Oh, man! Snoopy-dance time!

I thought she did great. I usually don’t like BOR (to be honest, I detest him). But he treated her very professionally and seems to relish the beating that the mainstream media is going to take as Sarah settles into FOX. We all relish it.

No more interviews about the 2008 campaign, Schmidt, the ankle-biters, Levi Johnston, her family etc. I truly hope in the future, Palin will simply not comment on these as she already did per her book tour and interviews. But this was a great start for her except when Bill tried to goad her into calling Pelosi a kook.

“I’m no BOR fan, but to be fair to him, I think he was trying to help her bury Schmidt, Heilemann, and Halperin up front, as well as debunk all of the other silly lies that have been hurled at her.”
Liked your response very much. Sarah did a good job of debunking the untruths of the book by these two A-holes. By saying that neither of these two interviewed her for their book nor were privy to these so-called statements by Sarah, she as much as labeled these two jURINALISTS as fiction writers. What Bill O’ should have interjected into the conversation is, “You Gov. Palin have written a best seller, and your critics have just come out with a book critical of you. Let us just see how well they do in sales compared to your success.” Let the people speak.
Gov. Palin being on Fox is another triumph for Rupert Murdock.
George Soros (sorry arse) eat your heart out.

O’Reilly tried to snooker Sarah into agreeing to a characterization of certain Democrats (Reid ???) as “jerks” or “idiots,” but she adroitly declined to take that bait. I believe he was testing her alertness, and she passed that test.

I agree...good first out of the box, but I don’t want America seeing her as a commentator, she is much bigger she is going to be President, a REAL job, not a talk job

I don’t know if it has been mentioned anywhere, but Sarah will be on Glenn Beck today at 5:00 today for the whole hour.

“I watched it, Palin was great but O’Reilly was grating.”

I agree Sarah was great, but I think the stuff about BOR in this case was a bit overblown. He wasn’t particularly difficult with her. That said, she does better than most with cutting right through his interruptions. She has outstanding communication skills in my opinion.

I joined FR and gave a contribution just so I could add how much I loathe BOR when he compliments himself. Sarah was so gracious to say that BOR was BMOC, but he couldn’t just say “Thank you ...” He had to make her state his name by asking “and who is that?” forcing her to repeat his name. I think she realized what he was doing and felt uncomfortable.

Of course that didn’t stop BORe from patting himself on the back in the next Crowley/colmes segment.

I’ve found my home! Thanks all for your inspiring posts.

I liked the way she handled BOR, too.

We could tell she was visibly nervous--as rightly she should be--people that care about their performance ARE nervous, but it's how quickly they come out of it to feel comfort and confidence with words delivered more easily and more succinctly, that matters and she passed that with flying colors!

I feel like this is EXCELLENT practice for Sarah. Not that she needs it to do the job, it's just that the more and more exposure she gets, the higher the level of that which can shake her resolve. What is going on will further desensitize her to ANYthing that can possibly be thrown at her, in her handling of either off camera distractions or on-camera (issue-oriented or snarky) questions, with more and more ease. She can already handle so much, and this will only put her at a higher level--a more and more Presidential level of "stuff" that COULD happen. Also, she'll have nothing to lose. If she does great and people start to see the vastness of her talents and smarts--GREAT, and she goes on to be even MORE Presidential in the minds of Americans. If she does poorly or makes an inexcusable gaff (if only to the Dems) that puts a question in Americans' minds then...no harm, no foul...she's not a candidate.

I think this is SOOOOO smart on her part. Sarah CONTINUES to impress me and those I hang with.

O’Reilly was more irritating than usual. He just kept interrupting Sarah and would not let her complete a sentence.

I’m not sure what a ping list and from the sounds of it, there are precious few I would care about. The Palin Ping List sounds like it would be one of those few.

Thanks.
